The empty classroom was dimly lit, a solitary shaft of sunlight filtering through the blinds and casting long shadows on the desks. Kim Minjeong stood near the window, her fingers clenched tightly around the strap of her guitar case. Her heart pounded with a mixture of anxiety and determination. She had finally mustered the courage to confront Yu Jimin, and there was no turning back now.The door creaked open, and Jimin strode in with her usual grace, her eyes sharp and unyielding. She glanced at Minjeong with a mixture of curiosity and annoyance, her perfectly styled hair swaying slightly as she moved. “You’re really something else, Minjeong. Who told you that you could touch me?”
Minjeong swallowed hard but forced herself to stand tall. “I needed to talk to you alone.”
Jimin’s expression remained inscrutable as she crossed her arms. “I’ve told you that I’m not interested. What part don’t you understand?”
“Just give me a chance,” Minjeong implored, her voice steady despite the fluttering in her chest. “One chance, Jimin. It’s all I’m asking.”
Jimin raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in her eyes. “Fine, I’m going to give you a month, Minjeong.”
“A month? For what?” Minjeong asked, her brow furrowing in confusion.
“To make me fall in love with you,” Jimin said coolly, her gaze piercing. “If I don’t feel anything for you at the end of this month, you’ll have to let me go.”
Minjeong’s heart sank at the thought of losing Jimin, but she quickly masked her disappointment with a steely resolve. “Let you go?”
“Yes, Kim Minjeong,” Jimin said, her tone final. “You have to let me go.”
“I won’t let you go, Jimin,” Minjeong said firmly, a fire igniting in her eyes. “By the end of this month, I’ll have you hopelessly in love with me.”
Jimin’s lips curved into a faint, almost imperceptible smile. “We’ll see, Minjeong. We’ll see.”
With that, Jimin turned on her heel and walked out of the classroom, leaving Minjeong alone with her thoughts. The room seemed to close in on her as she stood there, contemplating the challenge that lay ahead. The next month would be a test of patience, persistence, and passion. Minjeong knew it wouldn’t be easy, but she was determined to prove to Jimin—and to herself—that love could conquer even the coldest of hearts.
As the door clicked shut behind Jimin, Minjeong took a deep breath, her resolve strengthening. She had a month to make Jimin see her, to make her feel something real. The clock was ticking, and Minjeong was ready to fight for what she wanted, no matter the cost.
