Monday morning, Minjeong walked into SM University with a grin that she couldn’t hide. Her date with Jimin over the weekend had gone even better than she had hoped. Jimin had laughed, smiled, and even teased her. For the first time, Minjeong felt like she had broken through Jimin’s icy exterior, and the thought filled her with pure joy.

As she headed toward the courtyard where her friends usually hung out before classes, she was practically floating on air. It didn’t take long for her friends to notice.

"So, I’m guessing the date with Jimin went well?" Kazuha asked, a knowing smile on her face.

"If she’s smiling like that, then yes," Ningning chimed in, nudging Minjeong playfully.

"Are you gonna stop smiling and tell us what happened?" Ryujin teased, raising an eyebrow.

Minjeong laughed, unable to suppress her excitement. "It went great! We talked for hours, and I swear, I’ve never seen Jimin so relaxed. She was comfortable around me, like really comfortable. She even smiled and laughed, you guys. It was amazing."

"We’re happy for you, Minjeong," Yujin said, giving her a warm hug.

Minjeong’s friends gathered around, genuinely happy for her. They knew how much she liked Jimin and how hard she had worked to get close to her. After chatting for a bit longer, they all parted ways as their classes started.

Minjeong’s first class of the day was with Jimin. This was both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, she loved being in the same class as Jimin, but on the other, she knew she would be hopelessly distracted. How could she focus on anything else when the girl she liked was right there, smiling at her?

When Minjeong walked into the classroom, her heart skipped a beat. Jimin was already there, sitting near the back with a seat saved next to her. As soon as Jimin saw Minjeong, she flashed her a smile that made Minjeong’s heart do somersaults.

Minjeong felt her legs turn to jelly, and for a moment, she considered the possibility that she might actually die from happiness. She took the seat beside Jimin, trying to keep her composure, but it was difficult when Jimin was being so effortlessly charming.

Jimin found Minjeong’s behavior adorable. She could tell that Minjeong was trying to stay calm, but the way her cheeks flushed and how she fidgeted gave her away. Jimin had to admit, she was starting to grow fond of Minjeong. The thought warmed her, but it also brought a wave of panic.

Was she starting to like Minjeong?

Jimin’s mind raced as she tried to process her feelings. This couldn’t be happening, not this quickly. She couldn’t give her heart away so easily, not when she was still so afraid of getting hurt. She had built up her defenses for a reason, and the idea of letting them down scared her more than she wanted to admit.

But as she glanced over at Minjeong, who was now blushing furiously at something the professor said, Jimin couldn’t help but smile. Maybe, just maybe, this was the start of something new. Something that might be worth the risk.
