Minjeong stood frozen in front of Jimin's door, her mind racing as she tried to make sense of what had just happened. The realization hit her like a ton of bricks—Jimin had seen her with Minju in the library, and now she was upset.

"She must’ve misunderstood," Minjeong muttered to herself, frustration and concern swirling inside her. She replayed the encounter in the library over and over, trying to figure out what Jimin could’ve seen that would make her react this way.

Minjeong knocked on the door again, a little more firmly this time. "Jimin, please! Let me explain."

There was no response from inside, only the muffled sound of voices. Minjeong’s heart sank. She wasn’t used to Jimin shutting her out like this, and it hurt more than she cared to admit.

She considered calling again but then realized it might only make things worse. Aeri was right—maybe Jimin needed time to cool down. Minjeong took a deep breath, trying to steady herself.

"I’ll give you space, Jimin," she whispered, more to herself than anyone else. "But I’m not giving up."

With a heavy heart, Minjeong turned and walked away from Jimin’s dorm, her thoughts a whirlwind of emotions. She couldn’t understand why Jimin was so upset—did she really think there was something going on between her and Minju? The idea seemed absurd, but the jealousy in Jimin’s voice had been undeniable.

Minjeong found herself wandering aimlessly around campus, her mind too preoccupied to focus on anything else. She tried calling Jimin again later, but there was still no response. She even considered sending another text but decided against it, fearing it might annoy Jimin further.

By the time Minjeong returned to her own dorm, the sky was already dark, and the weight of the day was starting to take its toll on her. She collapsed onto her bed, staring up at the ceiling as she tried to sort through her emotions.

"Why is she so upset?" Minjeong mumbled. "I was just talking to Minju…"

The more she thought about it, the more determined she became to clear things up. She couldn’t let this misunderstanding drive a wedge between them—not when things had been going so well.

Minjeong’s thoughts were interrupted by a sudden knock on her door. She sat up quickly, her heart leaping with hope.

"Jimin?" she called, rushing to the door.

But when she opened it, it wasn’t Jimin standing there—it was Minju.

"Minju?" Minjeong blinked in surprise.

"Hey, I’m sorry to bother you this late," Minju said, looking a bit hesitant. "I just… I wanted to check on you. You seemed a bit off when we left the library earlier."

Minjeong sighed, running a hand through her hair. "It’s not your fault, Minju. It’s just… Jimin saw us together in the library, and now she’s upset."

Minju’s eyes widened in understanding. "Oh, I didn’t realize… I’m sorry, Minjeong. I didn’t mean to cause any trouble between you two."

"It’s not your fault," Minjeong reassured her. "Jimin just misunderstood. I need to talk to her and clear things up, but she won’t even give me a chance."

Minju nodded sympathetically. "If there’s anything I can do to help…"

Minjeong offered a small smile. "Thanks, Minju, but I think this is something I have to handle on my own."

Minju returned the smile, albeit a little sadly. "I get it. I just hope she listens to you. You two seemed really happy together."

"We were," Minjeong said softly. "I just hope I can fix this."

After Minju left, Minjeong closed the door and leaned against it, her resolve strengthening. Tomorrow, she would find a way to talk to Jimin and explain everything. She couldn’t bear the thought of losing what they had over a simple misunderstanding.

As Minjeong drifted off to sleep that night, her thoughts were filled with images of Jimin’s smile, her laughter, and the way her eyes lit up when they were together. She clung to those memories, determined to hold onto the happiness they’d found in each other.

Tomorrow would be a new day, and Minjeong was determined to make it right.
