Jimin had spent the night tossing and turning, replaying the events from the previous day in her mind. She knew she had to make things right, and Yunjin was the first on her list. She couldn’t stand the thought of losing her best friend over something as foolish as her own pride.

With a deep breath, Jimin made her way to Yunjin’s dorm the next morning, but Yunjin’s roommate informed her that Yunjin wasn’t there. Jimin’s heart sank momentarily, but she had a pretty good idea of where Yunjin might be. Gathering her resolve, she headed to Kazuha’s dorm.

Jimin hesitated for a moment before knocking on the door, her nerves getting the better of her. She waited, counting the seconds in her head, until finally, the door opened, revealing Kazuha.

“Jimin,” Kazuha greeted her, her expression neutral. “You’re probably looking for Yunjin. Come in.”

Jimin offered a small, grateful smile as she stepped inside. “Thank you.”

“She’s in the bedroom,” Kazuha said, gesturing towards the door down the hallway.

Jimin nodded and slowly made her way towards the bedroom, her heart pounding in her chest. She took a deep breath before pushing the door open. Yunjin was seated on the bed, her head down as she scrolled through her phone. She looked up when she heard the door, her expression unreadable.

“Yunjin,” Jimin said softly.

“Jimin,” Yunjin responded, her tone flat. “What are you doing here?”

“I wanted to talk to you,” Jimin said as she stepped closer, her hands fidgeting nervously. “I want to apologize for how I talked to you yesterday. I didn’t mean what I said.”

Yunjin’s eyes narrowed slightly. “It seemed to me like you did.”

“No, Yunjin,” Jimin said quickly, moving to sit beside her on the bed. “I was mad because you were right, and I didn’t want to admit it. You’re my best friend, Yunjin. I love you, and I need you. I hope you can forgive me?”

Yunjin remained quiet for a moment, her eyes searching Jimin’s face. Finally, she sighed, pulling Jimin into a hug. “I forgive you, Jimin. And for the record, I love you too.”

Relief washed over Jimin as she hugged Yunjin back tightly. “Thank God, I thought you wouldn’t forgive me.”

Yunjin pulled back slightly, offering a small smile. “I’m not one to hold grudges.”

Before they could say more, Kazuha appeared in the doorway, leaning casually against the frame. “Well, I’m glad you two made up,” she said, her tone light but with a hint of seriousness.

“We’re best friends after all,” Yunjin said, shooting Kazuha a playful look.

“Best friend or not,” Kazuha said, her gaze shifting to Jimin, “the next time you make my girl sad, I don’t think I’ll be so kind, Jimin.”

Jimin nodded, feeling a bit of the tension returning, but Yunjin quickly interjected. “Hey, it’s okay. We’re good now,” she said, playfully scolding Kazuha with a gentle nudge.

Kazuha grinned, the tension dissolving as she crossed the room to join them on the bed. “Good,” she said, wrapping an arm around Yunjin’s shoulders. “But seriously, Jimin. Don’t make this a habit.”

“I won’t,” Jimin promised, feeling lighter than she had in days. “I’m sorry, Yunjin.”

“It’s forgotten,” Yunjin assured her. “Let’s just move on, okay?”

Jimin nodded, a small smile tugging at her lips. “Yeah, let’s move on.”

Jimin paced around her dorm room, anxiety bubbling up inside her. After a long night of self-reflection and a heartfelt conversation with Yunjin, she knew she had to set things right with Minjeong. She picked up her phone and sent a text to Minjeong, inviting her over to talk.

Minjeong’s heart leaped when she saw the message from Jimin. Relief washed over her, and she quickly composed herself before heading to Jimin’s dorm. She knocked on the door, her nerves a bundle of raw emotion.

“Minjeong?” Jimin said, opening the door with a surprised smile. “You came.”

Minjeong looked up, her eyes meeting Jimin’s. “Did you not want me to come?”

“No, no,” Jimin said, shaking her head. “I was just surprised. Come in.”

Minjeong stepped inside, her heart racing as she followed Jimin to her room. Jimin closed the door behind them, creating a private space where they could talk.

“I just thought that you didn’t want to talk to me,” Minjeong said, her voice trembling slightly.

“That’s crazy because I thought that you didn’t want to talk to me,” Jimin admitted.

Jimin took Minjeong’s hands in hers, her eyes searching Minjeong’s face. “Minjeong, I know I haven’t been reasonable lately. I’m confusing and hard to deal with. You’re probably so tired of me—”

“I could never get tired of you, Jimin,” Minjeong interrupted, her eyes softening.

“Of course you’d say that. You like me,” Jimin said, a hint of a smile on her lips.

Minjeong took a deep breath, her resolve firm. “I don’t even think that I like you anymore.”

Jimin’s eyes widened in surprise. “You don’t—”

“I love you, Jimin,” Minjeong said, her voice steady despite the vulnerability she felt. “I know it may sound crazy, but I’m sure of it. And I know that you’re not there yet, heck, you don’t even like me yet. But I don’t feel the need to hide my feelings for you anymore, and I hope you don’t hide yours from me too.”

Jimin’s grip on Minjeong’s hands loosened, and she let go. Her mind raced, struggling to process Minjeong’s confession. The pressure of Minjeong’s words weighed heavily on her. She had been hiding her own feelings, afraid of the intensity of her emotions.

“Are you sure that you love me?” Jimin asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

“I’m sure of it,” Minjeong replied, her eyes steady. “You don’t need to feel the same way, Jimin. I don’t want you to force things, nor do I want you to feel pressured. These things take time, and I’m willing to work to earn your love.”

Despite Minjeong’s reassuring words, Jimin couldn’t shake the feeling of pressure. Her smile was forced as she tried to hide her conflicted emotions. “So does that mean you forgive me?”

“Sure, Jimin,” Minjeong said, unaware of the storm brewing inside Jimin.

The room fell into a heavy silence, both women caught in their own thoughts. Jimin felt a new kind of pressure, and Minjeong’s words, though meant to reassure, only deepened her internal struggle. As they stood there, neither could shake the feeling that the road ahead was far from clear.
