3. JAY X SUNGHOON

"Who is the member you secretly take care of the most?"

"Jay" It was definitely Jay. He might tease him a lot and bicker with him but he secretly cares for him the most. Maybe because Jay always acts like he doesn't need anyone to take care for him or maybe because they both started their journey together.

Sunghoon was attending an interview....alone. They have just come back with a new album and being the unofficial visual of the group, he had to take this one alone. It was weird and mind-boggling. All the attention was on him.

After finishing the interview, he was going to the living room where everyone was. He was overthinking his answer. Though he cares for Jay, but saying it loud was embarrassing. He knew the members were going to tease the heck out of him, especially Jay. He can't even make eye contact with him now.

He just hoped nobody saw the interview. He decided to face the waters and just went there.

"How was the interview?"
"It was great. Didn't you guys see it?"
"Ummm...No"

Okay that was rude. As relieved as he was, he was also annoyed and a tad bit offended that nobody saw it. It felt like they didn't care about him. But he chose to keep quiet and just sit there. And to his luck, it was Jay who noticed he was sulking.

"Aww.. is little baby sad no one saw his interview?"
"Shut up"
"Are you not going to talk to us now?"
"I am not going to talk to you."
"That's what I wanted anyways"
"You are so annoying."

It was now evening and Sunghoon was still ignoring Jay. Jay was preparing dinner as usual. Without Sunghoon knowing, he was making his favorite meal.

"Ahhhhh" Sunghoon ran towards the kitchen where Jay has burned his fingers. He applied burn cream to it.

"Be careful"
"Ohh, you care about me so much. I am so touched." Jay teased again. Sunghoon just fumed and left.

They were all sitting on the dining table when Sunghoon noticed what was cooked. He felt giddy and happy.

"Did you make this for me?"
"No, why? Do you like this?"

Now the anger reached the brim. Sunghoon just left without eating anything. To some, it may seem he was throwing a tantrum. But he thought that Jay cared atleast that much for him. For God's sake, Sunghoon even has the letter Jay wrote for him. Those words mean a lot to him. His one and only unit.

While he was thinking all this, Jake entered his room with a plate full of food.

"That's why you are my bestfriend. I am never talking to Jay again."
"Yeah, yeah. By the way, what happened? Why are you so angry today?"
"Jay just annoyed me so much today. He went overboard with it."
"You guys always joke like this. You are just extra sensitive today. Why?"
"Nothing" Jake just left the conversation at that.

He gave the plate to Sunghoon and was leaving when he stopped at the door.
"As much as I love being your bestfriend, it was Jay who told me to bring this to you. He prepared the plate himself. And he did prepare this meal knowing it's your favorite. He prepared the ingredients at home instead of getting ready made ones because you like it like that. Please don't tell him I told you this."

"Oh" Sunghoon was silent. He felt happy and a little bit silly.

"And also we all saw your interview and heard your answer loud and clear. We were all making fun of you and were about to tease you. It was Jay who told us to act like we didn't see it because he knew you would be embarrassed and uncomfortable. And he looked really happy and touched with your answer."
"Maybe you both secretly care about each other the most" saying this he left.

Sunghoon was overjoyed and felt so touched.
"Oh Jay-ah. You will always be my number one. I love you my one and only unit."
