A letter flies into a boarded rabbit hole, just missing the people hustling into their homes.

"Subjects of Wonderland, you have one minute to comply with Her Royal Majesty's curfew, or else it's off with your head!" a white-haired commander bellowed as soldiers marched through Wonderland.

A figure leaped onto a second roof just above the guards. "Soldiers at the ready!" the figure shouted. "Sir, yes sir!" the soldiers responded in unison, their voices almost musical. "The Queen's not very friendly," one remarked.

"That's for sure," another agreed. The soldiers performed drills in four rows of ten, somehow missing the girl standing behind them, mirroring their every move.

The rhythmic cadence of a song filled the air:

Red threw a firework on the ground, startling the forty guards. "Seize her!" the commander yelled as Red darted away.

She leaped off the roof, using a knife to slow her descent, slicing up a portrait of the Queen of Hearts.

"Right, left, right—never question orders!" the commander began. "Or you will pay the price," the soldiers finished in unison.

"Protect the Queen's borders," he continued. "Remember what she says."

"It's either off with their heads, or it's off with our heads," spotting Red, the soldiers quickened their pace.

When they reached the main area of Wonderland, they looked up, seeing paint on the Queen's newly defaced portrait.

"Oh my god, we're so cooked," one soldier groaned. "Pull it together," the commander snapped, causing the men to straighten up. "Everyone split up, this ain't over." With a quick "Sir, yes sir," the guards dispersed to cover more ground.

Two soldiers ran down a street, not seeing Red. They groaned. "She was just here," one of them said. "Damn," the second one muttered. As they left, the sound of cranking started up.

"Maddox!" a figure yelled, dropped onto the floor. "Those guards could have dragged you to the dungeon, Red." Red took off her hood, exhaling in relief as she wiped her forehead.
