Y/n's POV
"So this is love... so this is what makes life divine, I'm all aglow, And now I know The key to all heaven is mine My heart has wings, And I can fly I'll touch every star in the sky So this is the miracle that I've been dreaming of So this is loveee," Ella sang, twirling gracefully around the room with Bridget. Their performance was pure joy, and I couldn't help but clap loudly, making them both jump in surprise.
"My bad," I said, raising my hands in surrender. "I didn't mean to interrupt."
Ella and Bridget turned toward me, their faces a mix of surprise and amusement. "You have a talent for making an entrance," Ella remarked, her smile widening.
"Couldn't help it," I replied with a grin. "You two were really in the zone. That was beautiful."
Bridget's cheeks flushed slightly as she shrugged. "We were just having fun."
"Well, you both have real talent," I said, genuinely impressed. "I didn't know you could sing like that, Ella."
Ella laughed softly. "It's just a hobby. But thanks."
Bridget nodded in agreement. "Don't be so modest, Ella. You have a lovely voice."
Ella's smile widened. "Thanks, both of you. It means a lot."
"By the way, B, have you cooked anything recently?" I asked, making the girls laugh. "Do you ever stop eating?" Ella teased.
"Nope, happy stomach, happy heart," I replied, patting my stomach.
"I baked a smiley pie," Bridget announced, pulling a pie out of the warmer.
"Why smiley?" I asked, eyeing the pie eagerly.
"Just try it," Bridget said, handing me a piece.
I took a bite and grinned from ear to ear. "Yoo, this is amazing. Why am I still smiling?" I wondered aloud, struggling to suppress the grin.
Bridget giggled. "It's a little enchantment I added. The pie is supposed to make you feel happy."
Ella joined in the laughter. "Looks like it's working!"
I tried to frown but couldn't. "This is going to be a problem," I said, still smiling uncontrollably. Bridget shook her head.
"Don't worry, it wears off after a few hours."
"Great," I said, still smiling. "Guess I'll be the happiest person in school for a while."
Ella looked at me with amusement. "It's not a bad look on you, Y/n."
I attempted to respond, but the constant smile made it difficult. "Glad you think so."
"My face is starting to hurt," I whined as the smile began to strain my facial muscles.
