[LUCIFERS POV]

I have been worried about Y/N... ever since I found her in the hall something just hasn't felt right.

She is such a sweet girl, I feel bad that she got sent down here to such a cruel and unforgiving place.

"Dad can we talk..."

"Of course Charlie, what's up?"

"Remember when we were talking about mom?"

"Yes.. where is this going?"

"I think it's time to move on, it's obvious she isn't coming back I mean it has been seven years."

"Everyone has been talking about you and Y/N and it's obvious you are happy around her.. I think you should pursue her."

I can't let go of Lili.. not yet.

She's still out there I know it.

"Charlie.. what are you talking about, Y/N is just a friend."

"Dad I know the difference between love and friendship, I used to go through that with Vaggie."

I'm not in denial about my feelings.

Lilith is my everything.

"Please just think about it dad, I hope it gives you more confidence knowing I'm ready to let go of mom."

I watched as Charlie exited the room and left me alone with my thoughts.

I suppose she is right, I have noticed that I myself am happier when I'm with Y/N.

Maybe Y/N can be the one to help me get over Lilith... because I really do like her.

But I will never give Lilith up.

"Lucifer are you in here?"

I looked at the door as I heard a gentle knock come from the other side.

It was Y/N's voice.

"Yes I'm here, you can come in."

Y/N opened the door and poked her head in.

"Hey Luci, have you seen Charlie?"

It drives me crazy when she calls me Luci.. in a good way.

"Um yeah she was here a few minutes ago, but I don't know where she went."

"Oh that's ok I'll just find her later."

She was about to close the door but I stopped her.

"Wait-"

"Yeah..?"

"Would you like to maybe have a walk with me?"

"Of course!"

Thank fuck she didn't say no..

She stood silently next to me as we made our way into the gardens behind the hotel.

"I've never been back here before."

"Well I'm glad I can be here for your first time."

I watched her as she looked around at the different types of flowers, her eyes sparkled in the red haze of the air.

She walked beside me as we made our way past more flowers.

Now is my chance..

I gently plucked a rose off of a bush, the rose was black with splashes of white.

"You know Y/N... none of these flowers are as beautiful as you."

"You think I'm beautiful?"

Even the flowers look out of place when I look at her...

"Of course, but you aren't just beautiful, you are gorgeous."

She looked at me with her beautiful e/c (eye color) eyes.

"This isn't a joke or a prank... right?"

"I would never lie to you about such a thing.

I put my hand on her waist to gently pull her closer to me.

A deep scarlet red was rising to her cheeks.

I gently tucked a strand of hair that fell into her face behind her ear.

"Thank you for being my friend, I really needed one that's not just a cat."

We slowly leaned closer to each other.

But at the last moment I pulled away.

I'm still with Lilith, I can't do it...

I let go of Y/N's waist and we just continued walking in the garden side by side.

[MEANWHILE IN HEAVEN/3RD PERSON POV]

Adam crossed his arms as Lute argued that this is a bad idea.

"Shut up Lute its time."

Lilith opened the door and slowly stepped into the room, her long blonde hair flowing behind her.

"Well what do you know she actually showed up."

Lilith scowled at Adam and closed the door.

"I only came because you said that it was about Lucifer, I hate you Adam."

"Whoaaa calm down first lady I just wanna talk."

"Make it quick because you are wasting my time."

Lilith's eyes flickered with anger and Lute gripped her spear.

"We need you to go back down to Hell."

Lilith snorted as she held in a laugh.

"You want me to go back down there? Never."

Adam rolled his eyes and leaned back in his chair.

"If you do this one thing for me ill convince God to let you stay here for good."

That caught Lilith's attention.

"Alright fine.. explain what I need to go back to Hell for."

"We need you to distract Lucifer long enough so our accomplice can go down there and grab his new bitch, and bring her back here."

Lilith debated this for a second.

She really didn't want to go back to Hell but if she could say in Heaven, it was worth it.

"Deal."

Adam smirked and nodded at her.

"Great, we need you down there by tomorrow."

Lilith was about to exit the room when Adam called out to her.

"Oh and Lilith, if you mess this up... Lute will personally spread your guts on the streets of hell."

Adam meant every word he said.
