"Please James! Come on! It'll only be for a little bit, we don't have to stay out long."
We had only just gotten back from dinner and I was already trying to convince James to go down to the Quidditch Pitch with me for some late night practice. We were almost a month into school and I had yet to get some practicing in of my own outside of our general practices with the team. James had plopped down on his bed and was resting with his arms behind his head.
"Val can't you just go by yourself this time?" He asked me, a hint of sleepiness in his tone.
"Ugh James, you know how I feel about that." I replied back, crossing my arms over my chest with a huff as I stood next to his bed. He rolled his eyes at me, crossing one leg over the other as he continued to lay down in his bed.
"I know that you don't like it but I honestly have no clue why you don't in the first place." He expressed. "I don't like it because going out at night is scary! I'm a girl, who knows what could happen to me! All alone out there...In the dark...Right next to the forbidden forest...Where anyone could kidnap me at any moment..." I said drawing out my sentences to emphasize my point.
"Val I've gone out by myself plenty of times. You can go out and do the same and you'll be fine. Nobody is going to kidnap you and drag you into the forbidden forest to try and kill you. I promise." He tried to convince me to just go by myself. I let out a small whine as I sat down on the end of his bed and put my cheeks in the palms of my hands as I pouted.
I looked over to the other boys in the room trying to see if I could try to convince either Remus or Peter to accompany me outside instead. Because clearly James was not going to move from his bed for the rest of the night. I would have preferred James over the other two, simply because he's a lot more willing to get on a broom and pass around a quaffle than the other two every would be.
Remus lay in his bed, Sirius and Peter sat with him as Peter shuffled a deck of cards, likely getting ready to play some sort of game none of them have ever bothered to teach me. Looking over at them I took in Remus' appearance.
His eyes looked slightly sunk in with dark bags underneath and his skin tone more pale in comparison to its normal hue. His mood lately has also been drastically worsened and he hasn't been eating as much as he usually is. To anyone else, they would think the boy just hasn't slept in a day or two, but to me I could tell his monthly visit was soon approaching.
"Hey Remus..."I started to say.
"No. Full moons in two days..." He cut me off shortly, already knowing I was going to try and badger him to accompany me down to the pitch.
I huffed and sat there for a moment solemnly before trying again, "Hey Peter..." I said, looking towards the short boy. "No, we just started our game, maybe next time Val." He told me, only focusing on the card game he and the boys were playing, not even sparing me a parting glance.
I scrunched my face up in annoyance that none of the boys wanted to go with me. I huffed standing up from my spot at the end of James' bed whilst grabbing my wand.
"Fine then. If none of you will go with me, I'll just go by myself. I hope you all feel bad when someone kidnaps me and the last thing you remember is not going with me." I said crossing my arms over my chest and looking at them pointedly.
They all stared at me blandly as if silently wishing I would just walk away since they were clearly not in the mood to put up with my dramatics at the moment. I shook my head at them before clearing my throat. "I guess I'll get my stuff. Accio Quidditch Bag." I said with a quick wave of my wand.
