The Invitation

"Hey Y/N!"

"Hey!"

Ruka takes a seat across from me at the cafe. I asked her to hang out today to discuss Ryo's spontaneous invitation.

"So what's up? What was so important that you wanted to talk in person?"

"Well, you see, remember Kessoku Band?"

"Yup."

"The bassist Ryo wants us to meet their guitarist Bocchi."

"WHAT?! NO WAY! YOU KIDDING DUDE RIGHT?!"

"I wish I was. I never told you, but Ryo has recently been going to Boxy's, which is where I work. So we've been kinda talking, if that's the word for it."

"So you're friends with her?! That's sick!"

"Uh, I wouldn't exactly say friends. She's just... an odd person."

"Really? I only ever saw her on stage. I'd be sick to get to know her. When we going?"

"This Thursday at Starry..."

"Sick! But... you don't seem happy about it."

"I just don't get why. It's not like she knows me, so why have someone like me meet her band? You get what I mean?"

Ruka nods.

"I get you man. Maybe she just wants friends. You both play bass after all."

"Yeah... that is true."

"You may have questions but you never know the answers until you're there!"

"You're right."

Let's see what her band is like off stage.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the next few days, Ryo never came back to the store. On the day we were supposed to meet I called Ruka and waited for her nearby Starry.

"Sup!"

I turn around to see her wearing a black shirt, black skirt, and black boots.

All black huh?

"Hey!" I say with a smile.

"Hi! It's crazy how we're really meeting the band we saw live a few days ago."

"Yeah, I guess."

We make our way down the stairs. It felt a little weird going to this place during the daytime instead of night. I open the door for the two of us to walk inside. The inside felt completely different from how it was several days prior. There was no music, nor a crowd of people. There weren't even that many people here actually.

"Woah, it's so different." Ruka says.

"Ha! I know right?"

"Y/N. Over here."

In the far distance, I could see Ryo calling out to us with her other bandmates. In an instant, Ruka runs up to them with a smile.

"Hi! My name's Ruka! I love your guys's music so much! Your stuff is so sick!"

"Thank you so much Ruka! My name is Kita. Nice to meet you!"

It was the same red haired girl with yellow eyes that was singing that night.

"Nice to meet you too! You can sing so well Kita!"

Ruka looks over at the pink haired guitarist that was right next to Kita.
