You ran through the hallways panicked, eyes darting back and forth looking for unoccupied waiting rooms. Your chest was heaving as your mind spiraled. At first you didn't care about winning, but now it felt like you needed to.Ever since you were young, your father would brag about your power even though he never helped you train or control your quirk. One time when you were 6, you, your dad, Katsuki and Mitsuki were all at a park down the street. It was the first time you saw Katsuki since what happened with your family. You wanted to show him your quirk since his was really cool.
You showed Katsuki how you could stick upside down on some playground structure but couldn't figure out how to get down. You didn't want to seem like you didnt know how to use your quirk so you just told Katuski this was apart of your quirk in hopes he wouldnt make fun of you.
Blood started to rush to your head making you feel lightheaded, thats when you started yelling for your dad, he looked over but just told you that you could get down on your own. You kept screaming for help but your dad just ignored you, after a couple more seconds, Mitsuki came running over despite your father telling her you were fine.
But either way, your father being at the sports festival was insanely nerve racking. He was never at any of your school events, but the one time youre not stressed about being the best he's there. It wasn't fair. You turned the corner of the hallway and ran head first into someone.
"Shit- sorry." You apologized as you saw once again, Bakugou. You sighed as you tried your best to steady your emotions.
"What's wrong with you?" Bakugou asked in his normal condescending tone.
"Nothing." You said as your voice slightly cracked with emotion as you trudged past him slightly hyperventilating.
You felt his piercing glare behind you, but you ignored it as tears brimmed your eyes. You sniffled roughly as you fought them back. You told yourself you wouldn't cry since you let your naivety get you in that relationship with Nakamura. You opened the door to a waiting room a couple feet away behind Bakugou, then slammed it behind you.
You looked up towards the ceiling and forced your tears to go away. You took a deep breath in through your nose, let your chest puff out. Then you let it out slowly as you slid down the door to sit on the floor. You ran your fingers through your hair as you stared at the ground.
Your next match was against Todoroki, after he used his fire with Midoriya, there was no way you could win now. You groaned as you stood up. While pacing the room back and forth, trying to come up with different strategies to win against Todoroki, but none of them worked out in your favor in the end. Your quirk just wasn't good enough.
You screamed in anger as you shoved a chair across the room in rage. Your shoulders rose and fell with each heaving breath you took. You ran your hands down your face as you scratched your cheeks and eyes in frustration. You just could never win could you.. It wasn't fair that your father ruins everything for you.
You thought this festival would be fun, and that you wouldn't have to stress about it because you would get where everyone else is in the end. But no, your father for once showed up to something of yours and now it feels like you have to be perfect.
You sighed as you sat down in the other chair resting your head in your hands and elbows on the table infront of you as you began to come up with new tactics for winning.
Bakugou's POV:
'What the hell was that?' I thought as I watched L/n walk into the room I was just in and slam the door behind her. She obviously wasn't okay, but I couldn't ask her what was wrong. That's not my place, but it bothered me through the wait until my match with shitty hair.
