The loud frantic cries resonated across the walls, making their way from the adjacent room. As usual she was sitting by her table with her head leaned on the comfy headrest if her recliner.

As usual, the sky was shrouded in heavy clouds, rumbling with thunder and flashes of lightning, making a bright sunset stand out from the early evening obscurity. Her eyes were shut, striving to escape the stress and hustle of the day.

Heuron smiled with satisfaction on her face while her mother's furious yells marked her victory after the unexpected call her mother received a few minutes ago. "I don't lie when I say I'm the nemesis of my opponent," she smirked as she recalled how fate showered its magic and all among a dozen doctors and a hundred students she unexpectedly crossed paths with Karina Gray and her boyfriend.

Mr Blake Gray, a business tycoon, understands exactly when to back off when his fame is on the line. The raw tape was emailed to him, which was enough of a threat for him to end the connections with her mother. With Heuron's power, Karina Blake might be easily pulled into a filthy maze of legal and judicial proceedings on adultery with a man twice her age.

"Poor he! Now I own the key to run you." She gave a little laugh. "For now the most important thing was to call off the wedding, but I won't easily leave you. You'll be the most useful pawn of mine later on."

As the storm's swiftly blowing wind and droplets of water hit her eyelashes, her eyes sprung awake. She got up from her table and pulled closed the glass doors of her balcony. Now, all her body cried out for was a little sleep. However, she was startled to see something wholly unfamiliar on her bedside table.

There was a raven-hued vase with a polished cylindrical surface and a distinctive crooked edge on top. In it were a bunch of fresh roses of fall shade and beside it stood a fruit sipper with a straw already in it.

She was taken aback by this for some time, as dozens of thoughts raced through her head. Her mind could analyze how detailed the replica of the scene in her manuscript was. With haste, she pulled up the drawer and took out her metallic striped notebook, only to discover, beneath it, two brand-new books which were none other than 'And then there were none' and 'A Mindful Way Through Depression'.

"What sort of a joke is this?" She chuckled a bit despite her apprehension, and her fingers shook in dread, plainly expressing her fear.

She nervously opened one of the books, and a few photographs fell from between the pages. Heuron recognized the gravity of the issue in the blink of an eye when she viewed the photos of her peering into the doctor's cabin that afternoon.
