07| Two Targets, One Shot

"Heuron, where are you going? Your university is declared closed till further notice due to the controversies on your President's name."

The lady summoned her daughter in a high-pitched voice, a look of fury on her face, for leaving at midday.

"This woman never wants me to go out other than my university. On the other hand, her daughter literally returned after being caged to death for three days." Her feet came to a standstill as she rolled her eyes and frowned in displeasure. "What is it now? I'm going to meet Linzi!" A piercing shout resonated throughout the house.

Her mother, who was pestering her by standing near the couch in the living room, dashed to the doorway and grabbed her daughter's arm. "Why would you meet her? Let her be on her own way!" Her eyes violently enlarged as she screamed her words.

"What is this nonsense?" Heuron murmured, wrenching her arm away from her mother's strong hold. "Stay away from my matter, Mom! Don't you dare to meddle!" Pointing finger at her Mom, she made herself clear in her bold tone, giving her a slight push and slamming the wooden door behind her.

She took her steps towards her mansion's parking lot, mumbling things at her mother with uttermost irritation.

The area was covered in darkness far away from the reach of sun rays, only under the luminosity of the ceiling lights. Three white beemers were parked in their respective spots, with two empty spaces left by driven-out automobiles. She made her way through the vacant spaces to the back of the parking lot, where the lights couldn't be seen. In the complete darkness, her fingers felt the wooden shelf of a cupboard, and through her old reflexes her hands pushed the cupboard containing a few mechanical tools to the side.
