Tears streamed down her cheeks as she lay on the bed, having spent the whole day staring at the ceiling with a severe headache. Everything seemed to be silent except for the ticking of the clock. Her arms were numb from swinging in the air due to the shackles.
"More than 24 hours have passed since I'm here! I don't think anyone has the slightest idea that I'm missing!"
Heuron sighed looking at her injured finger. Blood continued to trickle down for hours following the first aid, leaving the white linens completely scarlet. The blood on her finger and on the sheets had dried up till late evening, but her horror remained.
While gazing at the blood, a sudden thought struck through her mind which raised activeness once again in her nearly half-dead body.
"I should have thought about it earlier. Blood is slippery, I could have tried to slip my wrist out." She shut her eyes with anger on herself.
But she calmed herself down and tried to pull her right wrist on her dried blood. Anger was so raised inside her that she scratched her left wrist on the edge of the metal stips of the cuff. "No Heuron, calm yourself down! Ofcourse there have been cameras over the room and he is watching you," with a deep breath, she muttered to herself.
Gradually she dragged her body to her left side trying to nearly hide the cuff behind her, although the other hand felt the immense strain. Slowly but harshly her hand began to scratch over the edge of the cuffs, enduring the unbearable pain of ripping her skin. Her eyes were shut to stop the tears with no expression over her face to stop the cameras from capturing that.
In a few minutes, her wrists now could feel no more pain from the constant rubbing and soon she felt a drop of blood flown down her arm. She went on with a greater pace targeting the bleeding area even more.
Her poor eyes could see her own hand draped in crimson. Gradually her wrist was pulled a little by little on her slippery wounded skin, and with the grace of her luck, her left hand got out of the cuff, but with immense bleeding and pain.
Her mind sensed the feeble sound of the turning knob, and with a jolt she rubbed her wrist on the sheet and then covered it with her pillow. Carefully she acted to hang her hand back in the same position near the cuff when the door opened revealing her kidnapper with her food on the tray.
Silent prayers recited inside her mind to stop him for knowing what she did. He walked to her with a smile and gave a warm kiss on her forehead.
"Why are you sweating so much? Has your fever returned?" He inquired with care residing in his tone. But Heuron's attention was caught by her bulged red eyes instead of his words.
