"Oh Lord Krishna! You took my mother away from me, so I brought Radha Amma to stay with me. But ever since she came, she hasn't eaten anything... Maybe she misses her home and you. What fault does she have in my enmity with you? I can no longer bear to see her suffer. Please, ask her to eat something... I am begging you with folded hands in front of you!"With tears in his eyes, the boy went home, hoping that Radha Rani had eaten something by now. But when he saw that she still hadn’t touched her food, he began to cry and blamed himself for her hunger. He sat outside with his books, feeling utterly defeated.
When his grandmother called him for dinner that night, he went first to Radha Rani's room. Seeing that she still hadn’t eaten, he lost his appetite. Although he initially refused to eat, his father and grandmother’s insistence led him to reluctantly eat half a piece of bread.
Late at night, when everyone was asleep, he quietly returned to Radha Rani's room. He saw the untouched food and silently brought some leftovers from the kitchen. With a heavy heart, he said, "If you don't want to eat this because it's stale, then don’t... Please eat this fresh one. It was made just a while ago! Seeing you hungry kills my appetite too. I can't bear to see you like this. Maybe, in some way, I am responsible for your condition. My quarrel was with Lord Krishna, not with you, Radha Amma! I will take you back tomorrow. I will live again without Amma."
With that, Rahul began to cry. He placed the fresh food in front of her and, saying, "Radha Amma, please eat," he wept until he fell asleep.
The chirping of birds woke him early the next morning. He got up and went to check on Radha Rani and the untouched food from the previous night. His heart sank, and with a heavy heart, he went outside, where he saw his grandmother in the kitchen and his father fetching water outside.
He quietly returned to Radha Rani's room and said, "I will take you back to your Krishna. Then you can eat... I can't bear to see my Amma hungry! Even if you stay away from me, be happy!"
"One mother already left me, and now I found another... even if it was through enmity. But now she will leave too! It's okay, I will live without Amma... Maybe I am bad, that's why both my mothers left me!"
His voice choked with emotion as he spoke.
