The memories of a past life poured into Jaune's mind as he remembered his past life as Acnologia. It was a strange feeling, these memories felt so foreign to him yet also felt like they had always been a part of him. Jaune didn't fight against them, he felt deep down that to fight against these memories would be the same as denying a piece of himself as both recent memories and those long forgotten were played out in his mind.

The earliest memory that he could remember was a time when he was nothing more than a simple doctor. His healing magic wasn't that strong, but he tried his best to use his magic to help both humans and dragons. His hometown was a place where dragons and humans lived together in harmony under their guardian, Acnologia. Despite being of two different races he and Acnologia had a close bond with one another.

One day, Acnologia went west to learn more about a new magic that can be used to kill dragons. When he returned, he and the other dragons led an attack on the town that was once under his protection, killing everybody that he cared for. He could do nothing but watch as his home was destroyed before his very eyes, unable to stop the carnage or save anybody from the dragons. It was on this day that his hatred for dragons was born and began his journey to learn dragon slayer magic to get his revenge.

Sometime later, he became one of the very first Dragon Slayers in the Dragon Civil War. He and the other slayers fought on the side that supported the coexistence between the two races, but soon he stopped fighting for the cause and began to slaughter any dragon he could find. He killed all the dragons that he encountered and those who worked with them, whether they did it willingly or not. As he constantly spilled the blood of the dragons, he started to forget everything about himself except for the name of the dragon he hated most in the world. He took that name so that all who despised and feared him would never forget his name.

Soon he encountered a trio of dragons that were toying around with a young girl before killing her in front of him. His hatred only increased for the dragons because of this as he then slaughtered the three in retaliation. When he was finished, he apologized to the body of the girl he couldn't save, vowing to her that he would slaughter every single dragon in existence.

And slaughter them he did, every dragon and dragon slayer was killed by his hands, and his hatred and desire for destruction grew as he bathed in their blood. After so long of using his dragon slayer magic, its effects started to corrupt him as he then turned into a dragon. With this change, he proclaimed himself to be the Dragon King and the sole victor of what history would be called the Dragon King's Festival.

Many years later, he decided to remain isolated from the world, occasionally encountering humans who stumbled upon him or to challenge his might. They all fell before him, like that foolish country that dared to raise arms against him in a bid to control his power. He kept searching for dragons and dragon slayers that may have survived his wrath, but he never found any which shows that he accomplished his goal and exterminated the dragons.

One day, he sensed a large amount of magic being generated somewhere and flew over to see what the source was and maybe find a worthy opponent. To his disappointment, all he encountered were just some human wizards that couldn't even land a scratch on his dragon body. To his surprise, he encountered three dragon slayers on the island, but they were so pitifully weak that he didn't recognize them as a threat but his hatred grew as he realized that there were still dragons in the world. Having enough of these insects, he destroyed the island with his roar and everybody on it before flying away.

7 years later, he sensed another large amount of magic again. He sensed the magic of the dragon slayers there along with that detestable black wizard, he flew towards the location, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. When he arrived, out from that fire brat came a dragon and engaged him in battle. The fire dragon king was strong, strong enough for him to consider the dragon an enemy, but ultimately was defeated and killed by him, though not without losing his left arm in the process.
