𝟏ˢᵗ 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖.

𝐈 open my eyes and slowly stand up from the bed. I stare blankly at the bedsheets. Last night we found their profiles, they were being held a floor below us. Rosa and Miguel were also here. Bad news? To access their file and information we needed higher clearance.

'...Rosa and Miguel are here.. i'm confused? I thought they were working with these people?'

I stay puzzled for a moment.

'...Unless these people are willing to do anything to get what they want and turn their backs on those who helped..' I think to myself and press my lips together.

'One thing i picked up.. we can't fully trust whatever they're bound to tell us.' I think with a sigh.

A few minutes pass by and Alex comes in.

I look at them, a bit confused as around this time isn't the usual time they come in. "..What's happening?" I ask them.

They stay quiet for a moment. They then sigh. "...We're-.. or rather he is going to conduct an experiment." They tell me.

I furrow my eyebrows for a moment before my eyes widen in realization.

"No- no- he can't do that-.. can he..?" I ask a bit nervously. Alex gave me a look of sympathy and nods. "..He can, as he's of higher status then most people who work here.."

I grit my teeth. They stay quiet and pull something from behind them. I was some sort of accessory for my head.

It look like spider legs if i'm honest. Weird, but, alright.

Once they put it on my head, the door opened again. Mateó walks through. My stare hardened on him. He only smiled sadistically at me.

I could tell Alex could feel the tension between both me and Mateó. They stood up straight and helped my stand up. I heard Mateó scoff.

"She doesn't need help getting up. She can do it by herself." He told Alex. Alex side glanced him before their gaze went back on me. I could tell they were irritated by him.

He shook it off and continued to help me up. Once i was up i steadied myself. Alex looked at me, expectedly.

I slightly sigh and slowly take a few steps towards Mateó. He keeps his smile and puts his hand on my shoulder. I scowl at him. His grip tightens on my shoulder. I slightly yelp at the pressure on my shoulder.

He seemed satisfied with my reaction and let go of my shoulder.

Alex looked over at me with a slightly worried expression on their face. I let out a small sigh and Mateó lead me out the room.

There was a silence between us as i walked beside him, following him. Once we were at the end of the hall, i saw a man, he had dark hair and sharp eyes. He glanced at me and i glanced at him as we walked past each other.

Something about him, it felt.. off.

His gaze shifted onto Mateó. When he looked at Mateó he had this smirk on his face as he walked past the two of us.

I felt a slight pit in my stomach and pressed my lips together.

I know something isn't right.

But what is it?

We mustn't dwell on it for now my dear. Just focus on being cautious.

I take a deep breath and nod.

We got to a set of doors, there was two people on either side. They looked at me than at Mateó.

"Gomez?" They question Mateó. He nodded at them. They nodded back and let us through the doors.

Once we went through the doors i squinted my eyes as there was multiple bright lights. Once i regained my vision normally i saw that in front of me stood a person..? We weren't directly in front of each other, as we were separated by a glass front.

They lifted their head up and looked at me. They wore a scowl on their face. They paused for a moment and looked me up and down before they furrowed their eyebrows.

I heard Mateó click his tongue and he lead me close to the glass front.

I was slightly confused. I could hear Mateó than leave and close the door behind him. I look back in confusion before i look forward at the person in front of me.

I than heard a voice through the intercom at the corner of the room.
