"Partly Guessed" ✸☾✸
Nora sat on the worn out couch in Derek's hideout flipping through the pages of her grimoire in hopes of finding something out about this 'bond' her and Derek shared as the pack walked out of the train making her head snap up to look at them.
The last couple days had been hard on the girl, first the club and Scott almost dying and then getting home only to find out her dad lost his job, add on whatever was happening between her and Derek, the girl was overwhelmed.
"What is that?" Issac questioned and pointed to the carved triskele in the chest that Derek opened.
Nora sat up higher in order to see the symbol as Boyd spoke up.
Boys spoke up knowingly, "It's a triskele. The spirals mean different things-- past, present future; mother, father, child..." He explained to those unaware of its meaning.
"It also can represent the three elements, earth, water and air, or It can represent the triple goddess in Celtic mythology, maiden, mother and crone and thats not even all the meanings I know." Nora interjected making their brows raise at her.
Derek nodded along though impressed at her knowledge, "Do you know what it means to me?" He asked mostly the betas.
"Alpha, Beta, Omega?" Boyd guessed.
"That's right." Nora suppress a laugh thinking he sounded like a teacher before he went on to elaborate."It's a spiral- it reminds us that we can all rise to one or fall to another. Betas can become Alphas, but Alphas can also fall to Betas, or even Omegas."
Issac raised his eyebrows, "Like Scott?"
Derek huffed at the teen, "Scott's with us." He told him.
"Really?" Isaac scoffed looking around sarcastically. "Then where is he now?"
"He's looking for Jackson." Derek answered simply.
"Don't worry, he's not gonna have it easy tonight, either. None of us will. There's a price you pay for this kind of power. You get the ability to heal, but tonight you're gonna want to kill anything you can find."
