"Okay, I have an idea, Erica and Boyd are still apart of your pack right?" Nora catches Dereks attention from where she sits on his couch looking through her grimoire as he cleaned up dinner.

Despite Noras multiple offers to help Derek repeatedly refused since she had done most of the cooking. Usually it was Derek who was cooking since he actually was a surprisingly good one from when him and Laura moved to New York. The pair had to learn how to survive on their own leading Derek to pick up the skills.

"I guess yeah?" Derek furrows his brows at the witch.

"They never broke their bond with you and found a new alpha, like you can still feel that, right? Their power?"

"Yeah, I can. What are you thinking?" He stops washing the dishes and dries his hands.

"Since that bond still exists I think I can use it in a locator spell, well, your blood, more specifically." Nora gets up bringing her book to the large table in front of the windows meeting him there.

"You can use that to find them?" Derek questioned her again, "As long as someone doesn't block me."

Derek nodded feeling a bit of hope rising as Nora walked to find the candles she had stashed there over the summer from all her practicing.

"This is why you should've told me everything." Nora glanced over her shoulder making Derek wince, "I know."

"I'm not mad." Nora reassured him walking back with her hands full of supplies, "You just wanted to protect me, I can't be upset for that."

"So how do we do this?" Derek asks as she lays out a map of California and Beacon Hills side-by-side, "Its a simple locator spell just subbing a personal item with your blood."

She waves a hand lighting the candles, "Incendia."

Sighing she picks up the knife she got for herself starting to angle it towards her open palm but Derek quickly stopped her, "Whoa, what are you doing?" He panics, "You didn't say anything about your blood!"
