12. 'family'

Soon after, the two of you started running to find Tanjiro. Eventualy you found him deep in the woods.

"Y/n, Inosuke!" He ran up to you. "Are you okay?"

"Did you defeat it?" Inosuke asked,

"Are you okay Inosuke?" Tanjiro said, worried.

"I asked did you defeat it."

"I did." Tanjiro said. "But are you okay?"

"Dont go showering me with your kindness!" Inosuke yelled "You got that- HEY!"

You cut him out when you started bandaging his cuts on his arm. "Stay still damn it, you could get an infection here."

"CUT IT OUT I DONT NEED THOSE!"

"Yes you do Inosuke, your cuts are pretty deep!" Tanjiro said, as Inosuke hesitated.

You kept on trying to bandage him but he kept escaping it, and in the end you gave up.

You continued to walk, trying to find more demons.

"You're really stubborn." You said to Inosuke, and he just hissed in return.

You stopped in your tracks when you saw thunder in the distance.

"Holy shit." you said. "This must be Zenitsu. Im surprised he didn't stay behind till dawn."

"Im surprised hes capable of doing anything with that dumb ass sword." Inosuke said, as he stepped onto one of the stones to walk across a river.

"I'll go the other way." Tanjiro said.

"Do whatever you want." Inosuke said.

"Be careful." you smiled at Tanjiro, and he blushed a bit before sending you a warm smile back.

Before he could leave, a little demon girl appeared in the woods on the other side of the river.

"IM GONNA SHRED YOU TO BITS!"

"Inosuke wait!" I yelled to him.

"Father!" She said.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING FATHER?!" Inosuke was just about to run up to her, until a tall bulky figure jumped right in front of him. Inosuke jumped back standing next to you.

The demon roared, making the hairs on your body lift up.

"STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY!" The demon said, before punching the ground, making it break under you, but luckly Inosuke picked you up and jumped up on a tree branch. He was holding you over his shoulder, and his hand was practicaly on your ass, which cut you off guard but you ignored it since 1 - he was clueless and 2 - its either that or you would die.

Tanjiro tried to attack the demons arm, but when you saw him struggling you and Inosuke quickly jumped down to help him. The skin was too thick to slice through. Your sword was sharp. The sharpest thing you owned or saw. And it couldnt cut through.

The demon roared again, yanking you off his arm.

Inosuke tried to launch at the demon, but was just thrown back on the floor. You quickly ran up to him, kneeling to his level. "Inosuke!" Tanjiro cut a tree off, making it land right on the demon.

In the meantime, you took Inosukes mask off, since he fell right on his head, to see if he was Injured. Luckly the boar mask protected him.

"I feel dizzy." He said.

"Concentrate on your breathing." You said. He looked at you confused, his eyes looking at 2 different directions. You showed him the technique of healing yourself with total concentration breathing, that Rengoku tought you.
