Hugo's P.O.V. :

I was talking with James and Zander, it felt like we were 11 years old again, except all we could talk about was school work, school activities, sports and... girls...

"Hildegard was like..." Zander kept on blabbering as I soon got uninterested.

James started laughing so to act as if I was also listening by laughing to, which got Zander laughing his head off. We calmed down, then it was once again boring as James kept on stuttering nonsense about Vivian. I lost focus as I stared at her face, her beautiful face, what am I thinking?! Should I walk up to her and just talk to her, or not talk at all and just keep my distance. All these possible scenarios formed inside my head until...

"Hello, earth to Hugo!" James called out, waving his right hand in front of my face like a lunatic.

"Dude..."

Sofia's P.O.V. :

I gazed upon the opposite side of the room, intrigued with what the boys were doing.

"Sofia." Vivian muttered, "Why don't you just go on and talk to him."

Suddenly all of the girls eyes were laid down on me as if I did something extremely bad.

"What about you Vivian?"

Vivian drifted her eyes towards James as her face turned slightly red.

"Girls, girls, girls." Amber yapped, barging in between Vivian and I then stretching her arms over our shoulders, "If you like a boy then you need to give him some clues, because you know these bunch of princes, handsome but clueless."

Ambers comment on the boys made the girls burst out giggling as the small group of princes marched up to us.

"Hey ladies!" Zander kindly greeted as he planted his feet next to Hildegards.

"Hello."

"Hi!"

"How are you?"

"What's up..."

The girls spoke at the same time, all saying different things making it catastrophic. We ended up having a group talk about how stressful the mid-term exams have been, how much work we've been given and more.

"Sofia." Hugo muttered softly, but loud enough for me to hear.

"Yes?"

He turned to look at me as he held out his right hand.

"W-will you dance care to with me?"

I looked at him with a shocked expression, but soon it turned into a smile as I gladly accepted.

Hugo's P.O.V. :

I asked Sofia to dance, giving her my hand as I fantasied about her taking it, me leading her to the dance floor, spinning her around.

"I'd be glad to."Sofia said as she interrupted my thoughts, though I didn't mind as they were about to come true.

Sofia took my hand as I led her to the dance floor, she twirled around in her beautiful dress making the creases at the end of my mouth enlarge. 'We danced and danced, so much that my feet felt like falling off, but I didn't want this moment to end, at least not yet. The moon finally rose to its highest point as the music came to a stop.

"Thank you all for coming." Roland said loudly to grab everyone's attention, "Would Sofia, Amber and James please join us up here."

Sofia, looking surprised, walked towards the front of the ball room, leaving me behind, but it wasn't like she had a choice. She soon joined the rest of her family, standing up proud.

"Now that our children have joined us." Roland continued, "I'd like to announce that to celebrate this important event, we've created a portrait of the royal family as it has been 8 years since I happily married Miranda."

I gazed at the happy couple until they revealed a family portrait, hidden behind a curtain near the front of the ball. The crowd cheered as Miranda and Roland looked lovingly at each other, then the family broke off as Sofia came walking towards me.

"You good princess?"

"Yep, just the usual."

I didn't know why I asked her that silly question, it just felt like something was off, but I didn't know what...

Sofia's P.O.V. :

I stood next to Hugo once again as I stared at the family portrait, knowing I loved my present family, but wonderer what life would be like if mom never met dad... The ball soon came to an end as the bells chimed. Guests disappeared one by one until Hugo, Zander, Axel and their parents were left.

"Looks like this is goodbye." I muttered, turning to Hugo.

"Guess it is."

"See you next time."

"See you on Monday princess."

Hugo kissed my hand as he headed off, and I don't know why but I felt butterflies fluttering around in my stomach. I went back inside, feeling a peculiar emotion.

"Sofia, mind if we have a sleepover, your room?"
