Chapter 7 - Mixed Feelings

Chapter 7

"I said, Feel at home" Miss Vernuel said in a deep voice that froze Red systems. They were so close that their bodies were only inches apart.

"I don't have to repeat myself, do i?" Because of the said distance between them, the low sounds coming from miss Vernuel's mouth were so clear like a high quality audio put on earphones.

Red was having goosebumps and unable to process things properly, it seems like it's the main effect of Miss Vernuel on her. She's messing with her head.

Miss Vernuel's hand flung through the doorknob  and locked the door while not even lessening the space between them, the sound of the doorknob being licked startled Red a bit.

Red took a deep breath and swallowed hard.

"Miss Evans?" Miss Vernuel called her,

"Yes miss?" Red asked as she swallowed again.

"Please... " Miss Vernuel turned her head and faced Red, "Feel at home, sweetheart" Miss Vernuel smiled at her before she walked past Red and that's when Red realizes she wasn't breathing at all.

Nakahinga siya ng maluwag nang tuluyan nang maunang pumasok ang binibini na kanya namang sinundan. Malakas ang kabog ng dib-dib ng dalaga at hindi niya alam kung ano nga bang klaseng pakiramdam ang nahahatid ng binibini sa kanya.

Napahawak siya sa dibdib niya at pinakiramdaman ang sarili niya. "What's happening... Parang tanga ko naman" It didn't take a while when she heard Miss Vernuel calling her again to follow her inside. Red was quick to do so and she's trying her best to eliminate the feeling of awkwardness around them

Sitting on the bed while looking through her phone, Miss Aein Ives Vernuel looked like she was checking something there, but as soon as she saw Red, she put down her phone and stood up to get her a towel. "What is this for, Miss?" She asked

Miss Vernuel raised her eyebrow handing the towel. "Maybe you can hang it on your neck" sarcastically, "just kidding sweetheart, maybe you would like to take a shower? I'll prepare your clothes, you're free to use the bathroom there" she said pointing the door where the bathroom is.

"A-ahhh... Thank you po" Red said finally accepting the towel the lady handed on her "You know what, Miss Evans?" Miss Vernuel casually opened a topic, Red was a bit surprised but she still asked why.

"You remind me of someone"

At the warm bath, Red kept thinking of those words, reminds me of someone? I remind her of someone? She asked herself, after she said those words, she insisted on her taking a bath already while she prepared something.

What exactly? Whom exactly?

There's not a day of her not overthinking eversince she met this hell of a great woman. For some reason the woman makes her feel weird things and makes her act weirdly, as if she's not a normal person at all.

First of all, her mind is always blank while the woman is around, it's like everything is sucked out of her mind and sge can only focus in panicking, she can't breathe properly when the woman is around,  like her breath has been stolen by some robber...

Hmm a beautiful robber though.

Her chest... She held her hand by it and felt her heartbeat "am i having some sort of crush on this woman?" She asked herself

Like she's getting an answer at all.

I mean, she's beautiful... She's kind, she's sexy and attractive, she's really... Unpredictable

And every step she makes, she makes her question Red's sane mind. She's messing with my head. Red said to herself.

Is it something to be alarmed of or is it something i should solve myself?

Am I the only one whose feeling this? Or can she too?

Goodness... Am i delulu?

Napasampal siya sa sarili niya sa kanyang mga iniisip, ano ba ito, nagugulo na ang isip na at pakiramdam niya nababaliw na siya, pero sa mga kinilos niya kanina imposible namang hindi talaga nararamdaman nung binibini ang kanyang mga kinikilos.

She's the reason why i'm acting like this in the first place, goodness... That woman.

Red rinsed herself from the shower and wore the bathrobe the lady prepared for her. She took a deep breath and slowly released it. Okay, she's finally ready to act normal, she said to herself she slapped herself once more before walking down herself.

She slowly opened the door expecting for the lady to be there but there's no traces of Miss Vernuel around. When her eyes fallen at the bed, she sees clothes and undies, she walked closer to the bed and to her surprise...

"What is this..."

She wore the undies but she's thinking twice whether she should wear the clothes that were given to her or not, is this some kind of mistake? She asked herself once again.

Isn't that woman already in her 30's??

Why does she... Goodness she's playing a prank on me right!!??

Red grabbed the clothes and took it with her, she walked down finding Miss Vernuel only wearing a bathrobe. It didn't take long for her to find her and to her shock, she's wearing a black onesie, a dragon one, she can't help but to blush looking at the woman, cooking something while wearing that fluffy onesie.

"You can come in" Miss Vernuel said, she guesses that she feels her presence behind her.

"Is there any problem, Miss Evans?"

"A-ahh i was just gonna ask about this Onesie i-i thought... There must be a kind of mistake..." Red embarrassingly said, Miss Vernuel turned in her direction and looked at the onesie on her hand...

"Ohh... You don't like my hampter onesie?"

The sadness flashed upon her eyes that melted Red's heart.

Goodness...

How can somebody break her heart... She looked so... Delicate oh my gosh...
She feels like her knees wanna fall as her heart melts by the look of dissapointment on Miss Vernuel's face.

"Gosh... Kill me" she whispers to herself.

"I-it's fine, i have other spare cloth--"

"No... No need... Uhm i-i i just came here to say it looks cute and t-thank you for preparing them for me"

Mababaw... Sobrang mababaw... But the happiness she sees in her eyes was so genuine that it also touches her heart.

She knows it so well she'll be damned if this situation continues
