Chapter 8 - Hurts to see you break

Chapter 8

Red ended up wearing the hamster onesie that Miss Vernuel prepared for her and she seems to be really enjoying it. Miss Vernuel takes glances at het as she cooks and giggles to herself.

Red just accepted the fact that she's really doing it just to see the smile on Miss Vernuel's face. Red signed and laid her head on the table in doom.

She closes her eyes and tries to clear her mind. As her head was laying down, she glanced at the glass wall next to the dining room table that sees through outside.

It's raining heavily outside and she can see the lightning flashes outside while the wind is blowing harshly.

Red couldn't hear any noise coming from outside except for the faint sound of thunder, probably because it's soundproof.

A silly idea of hers made her chuckle.

She looked at Miss Vernuel and then their eyes met, Miss Vernuel's eyebrow raised like she knew a question would come out of her mouth or something random would be spilled on her table.

"U-uh... I just thought... I can't hear any noise from outside po... I assumed it's because your house is soundproof" an uncertain smile formed from her lips as she asked for a confirmation from the woman.

Miss Vernuel took the pot holder and had the pot with noodles put aside, Miss Vernuel chuckles at Red while doing it. "No sweetheart, it's the rain... I put it on mute" Sarcastically.

Red rolls her eyes on her and stands to help Miss Vernuel "I'll help you, Miss" Red says taking the bowl and trying to convince Miss Vernuel to let her help.

However, Miss Vernuel gently took the bowl off of her hand and gave her an assuring smile.

"You're my guest, let me serve you,  Alright?" She said

"You can go upstairs nalang and i'll take the food there" Miss Vernuel added.

Then again, Red blushed real hard and her heart was pounding really hard, she couldn't breathe properly and she felt like she wanted to scream really loud. Goodness! This woman!

At the end, she can't do anything but to follow what Miss Vernuel said.

But at least, she just sat at the table waiting for Miss Vernuel to finish what she was doing.

As Red sat there, her eyes shared at the woman intently, she's watching her every move, her eyes follow her speed and give back the glances Miss Vernuel is giving her. That faint smile was plastered on Red lips while her head drifted away thinking things and overthinking Miss Vernuel's actions.

Is she seducing me? Red asks herself.

Because if she does... It would make sense. A lot of sense.
Red thinks out of her assumptions, probably because she knows if it's true it's working really well.

She's damned

The ramen... The shower... The onesie however was a bit unclear.

Wait... Did she make me wear it so she can easily strip me??

Oh my goodness gracious.

There... Red started to become delusional and played along with her thoughts so she's now giving Miss Vernuel that looks that made Miss Vernuel's forehead crease.

"With you staring at me like that, i think you should just go upstairs"

Red woke up from her senses and immediately stood up and went upstairs, she immediately grabbed the book that Miss Vernuel lent her and read her last chapter
