Amity pov.

I stroll in through the doors and lead Luz inside. I carefully close the doors behind me, as Luz begins to pull on the sleeve of my father's coat which was hanging on a hook to my left. I heard a small tear in the fabric so I quickly pull Luz away from it.

"Hey! Stop that!" I say, holding her hands still.

Luz just looks up at me with her big eyes and boops my nose with hers. I'm dumbfounded so I just stand there as she stares at me.

After a minute of recollecting myself and wiping some embarrassment off my face, I hide Luz behind the window drapes.

"Mother? Father? I'm home." I call out.

I'm in luck. No one is home at the moment, so I'm free to allow Luz to roam a little, but my main goal is to take her up to my room and try to calm her down. As I formulate a plan in my head, but the Luz shakes her mane like hair and abomination goo flies everywhere. Some finding a landing spot on my face.

I wipe it off and use a spell to collect it all into a ball.

"On second thought, let's get you cleaned up..." I sigh.

The Luz just looked at me and tilted her head.

So I force the human into the tub. It wasn't easy. Someone as filthy as her, you'd think she would want to be cleaned.

"Luz-thing! No!" I exclaim as the Luz lifts a bar of soap to her mouth.

I quickly take it away, making her cross her arms and look away. As the Luz sat there in the tub slouched over, I used a brush to scrub her down. Have you ever taken a beach, and when you come home you have to give them a bath? The sand and mud piling in the bottom of the tub? ...Yeah this was worse.

I used a cup to dump water on her head and that made her unruly hair weigh down and cover her face. I believe this made the Luz think she was blind so she lashed out for a brief moment before I grabbed her shoulders and parted her hair. Plus she was reluctant to work with me, I had to manually moved her around instead of her turning. Once against for the sake of my sanity I will blame that on her lacking of communication skills.

After I drained the now nearly black bath water I helped Luz out and sat her on the toilet seat as I wrapped her in a towel and harshly dried her hair. It poofed out and was nearly pillow like.

"Okay, all clean, Luz..." I say, wanting to feel proud but all I could really feel was exhaustion.

"L-... Lu?" The Luz murmured.

"Yes, Luz-... Did you just speak?" I questioned, my eyes popping out widely.

"Lu-Lu...z- Luz, Luz? Luz!" The Luz stammers.

"Yes, that's right! Your Luz, can you say, Amity?" I ask, pointing to myself.

"Luz." The Luz said, Patting her chest. "Ama... Ami- ty? Am-Am... Amit-y? Amity." The Luz grumbles, placing her finger to my nose.

I am overjoyed that we have finally broken ground on some sort of communication.

"That's right, Me Amity, you Luz" I say, directing my hands back and forth between us.

The Luz would then get us mixed up a couple of times, but we sorted it out pretty well in the end. I was finally able to get her to understand her name. Or what I'm assuming is her name. Luz could be the name of the brand the tag cam from for all I know. But Luz would have to do for now.

I tried to teach Luz how to pronounce other words, but she wasn't interested, she'd prefer to babble "Luz" and "Amity" while inspecting every fine inch of my room.

Aside from failed English class, I was able to get Luz to wear clothes. I simply threw away the rags she was wearing. Now she was wearing this purple hooded shirt I got for my last birthday. It was never really my style. And a pair of short pants. However shows were a no. I think she hated them because she had relied on their ability to feel materials and climb, it freaked her out for them to, disappear from her legs.

Now with her hair washed it nearly gained an extra four inches, so I used a couple of bands to tie it back out of her face. She continuously felt the back of her head to make sure it was still there. I don't even want to go into what my failed attempt to brush it was...

Now I say on my bed, bouncing my leg. I had to find a permeant solution for the Luz. Or just Luz? I couldn't just hide her in my room, after all I doubt she'd be comfortable in such a confined area anyway. However what I didn't notice was her gathering my laundry, small pieces of furniture, books, and other assorted belongings into a large pile. By the time I had noticed she had already formed a nest.

"What- hey! Put that all back!" I complained.

Luz just looked at me, and took a defensive stance to protect what I'm assuming was now her home. So I backed off. Luz perked up after I stopped trying to stop her and made herself comfortable, and laid down. I might have done the same only she stole my sheets and half my pillows...

As I walked across my room to sit at my desk, I heard something that made my heart stop. The sound of the homes front door, opening.
