It had been almost a year since Eliza joined the family, and you were starting to enjoy having a sister. You and Eliza were both sitting in the living room, watching Pingu on the TV. You were coloring while Eliza crawled around in the small playpen. She had recently found an interest in your old building blocks. She loved finding ways to stack them on top of each other. Especially since she had learned to stand.
Once the tower was a block taller than her, she clapped her hands babbling to herself. You glance over at her, smiling at her excitement. "Good job Eliza," you said for encouragement. Eliza giggled as she then knocked the tower over, sending blocks everywhere. It was her favorite thing to do, build a tower then knock it over.
The blocks managed to scatter themselves all over her playpen, even some falling outside. She got down on her hands and knees and began collecting them again. You shook your head as you began to color once again. After a few minutes to hear her babbling again. You look over to see her small hand reaching over her playpen as if she were trying to get something. Your eyes hit the ground to see what she was after, a small green block.
You get up from your coloring and head over to where she had dropped the block. You grab it and hand it to her. "Here" you placed it in her small hand to which she smiled. Without hesitation she turned away, letting go of the playpen, and wobbled over to her pile of blocks. Your mouth drops open for a moment as you watch her wobbly take a few steps before falling onto her bottom.
"You did it!" you shouted as you walked around to face your sister. "Eliza you did it!" Eliza smiled, happy that you were happy.
Just then your Aunt Gothel walked into the room with a tray full of snacks. She placed them down on the coffee table."What's got you so ramps up, (Y/N)?" she questioned, noticing your excited expression.
You turned your head to her, practically jumping up and down "Eliza Walked, Aunt Gothel! She walked!"
"Did she now?" she walked coming to stand beside you. She looked down at Eliza who was begging to build another tower. "Well, My little flower, can you show mama?"
Eliza looked up from her block tower. Carefully she got herself into a standing position. She looked at Gothel with wide eyes, mouth slightly open as she reached up her arms as if to say "up". Gothel just smiled "Come on Eliza, Show Mama you can walk."
Eliza wobbly took a step forward, then another, and another till she was in front of the gate. Gothel lifted her from the pen, smiling. "That's my little flower." Eliza giggled as Gothel held her close.
"Will she be able to run soon?" you questioned
"At this rate, I'll be running around in no time," Gothel said, planting a kiss on Eliza's forehead. "Now how about we have a snack to celebrate."
"Cookies!" you shouted rushing over to the tray and picking up the big chocolate chip cookie, and You quickly devoured it.
