"You want a drink? Ken..." The girl said.

She clearly noticed Myne's presence. But she didn't know who she was actually talking to.

"Ask her"

Myne cleared her throat.

"Must be a yes." The girl said pressing the vending machine's buttons before finally turning to look at Myne.

The moment she turned her head she flinched in surprise.

"O-Oh... you're not Ken..." She said.

The can of beer made a thud as it fell to the bottom of the machine.

The girl reached her hand down claiming her alcoholic prize.

"Hmm..." She said as she searched the floor of the vending machine.

"O-Oh! Oh shit!" She exclaimed.

She throws a can at Myne before revealing two more.

"Look! A third one fell down!"

The girl looked way too happy, she had the widest smile Myne has seen the whole day, her rows of sharp teeth in full display.

She quickly opened her can and looked at Myne.

"What? Are you just gonna stare at me? Open that up man!"

"She's kinda weird..." Myne thought.
"She's really smiley."

Myne got tired of beating around the bush.

"Who's Ken?" She asked directly.

The girl pauses her drinking.

"Someone I know. What's it to you?" She said.

"We met this morning didn't we?" Myne said. She cant forget those sharp teeth.

"Did we?" The girl said, even Myne could tell she was feigning ignorance.

"You called me Ken then too." Myne said.

"Hey man Im sorry if I just blurted out a random name and it didn't turn out to be yours. I cant always get it right." She said.

"What made you think I was this Ken person?" Myne said.

The girl sighed and dropped her shoulders.

"You know what you're so obsessed with names and shit what's yours?" She asked.

"Does it matter? Im just asking about—"

"Come on I just wanna put a name on your pretty face." She said.

Myne knows she wont get anywhere.

"It's Fae." Myne says. It's the first name that came to mind.

The girl smiles.

"Fae?" She said.

Myne nodded.

The girl laughs.

"Fae? Short for Fake Name? Hahahahahaha! Did you think Im stupid?"

Myne is slightly startled at how easily she found out.

"Come on don't waste your parent's creativity naming you just for you to use a fake name." She said as she takes another long sip.

"It's Myne." Myne said.

"It's yours alright." The girl said.

They locked eye contact for a moment.

"Your name's Mine?" The girl said.

"Myne. M-Y-N-E. Myne." Myne corrected.

"Ohhh! Thats unique." She said.

"Im Queen, and don't even ask if it's my real name."

She puts her hand forward for a handshake but she was already holding a beer so it didn't really make sense, but Myne could tell what she was going for.

"Tell me about Ken." Myne said.

Queen gives her a wide knowing smile.

"I knew thats what you were after."

Queen closes the distance between them getting right on Myne's face.

"Let me ask you Myne. Because I know everything there is to a man named Ken. But I don't know anything about what Ken might have with you." She said.

"Answer me first." Myne said.

Queen shot her a smile. And a smile that meant one single phrase,

"Or what?"

Myne understood at that moment that she held no power in this conversation. She was at the mercy of Queen's willingness to give her information. Queen's eyes pierced through every barrier Myne put up. Myne then understood she fell right into Queen's trap. She revealed too much about herself before Queen could even tell her name. Her gaze forced Myne to make a decision, to reveal too much or to possibly lose it all. Myne felt herself being devoured by Queen's presence, she tried to pull herself away but it felt like Queen's eyes were pulling on her soul before suddenly—

it was gone.

Queen suddenly dropped all the pressure she had on Myne. Giving her an ignorant smile.

"Aren't you gonna drink?" She asked, pointing at the beer on Myne's hand.

"The taste will be gone once it gets warmer you know."

Myne looked at it.

"I don't drink." She said.

Queen gave her another smile.

Suddenly the beer freed itself from Myne's hands and flies right to Queen's. Myne could barely see it, Queen flicked her pointer finger and the beer followed. It's her ability.

"Thats more for me I guess." Queen smiled before turning her back on Myne.

"—wait" Myne said.

Queen gave her a soft look.

"I'll find you again Myne." She said with such a dangerous tone. Myne couldn't help but shiver, it felt like a threat.

"Im just out of time today."

She waved the beer she took from Myne.

"I'll give this to him."

"You know... Ken."

And then she was gone.

Myne stood there, lit up by the vending machine. Queen had left as quickly as before.

"Thats a dangerous woman..."

She was barely even up to Myne's chest, but it felt like she was more domineering.

The metal door shut behind Queen as she enters a warmly lit room with tons of decoration and clutter. Chatter could be heard at the other side of the room followed by laughter and banter. At a desk sat a man wearing a lab coat. Queen walks by leaving a beer at his desk.

"This one's for you." She said.

"I don't like the brand take it away." He said. His voice was stern. He seemed annoyed by Queen's interruption of his work.

"Thats no way to treat a beer your kid gave you." She said.

"I don't have kids." He said unbothered.

Queen simply smiled as she left him the can.
