My smile descends, recalling my argument with my mother. A sigh escapes my lips. "Angazi noma umana uzongidedela yini."{I don't know if my mom would let me go.}
"But you're going to NYU. You were valedictorian. What more could she want from you?"
A chuckle withdraws from my mouth until I can't stop laughing. I can't admit it. It sounds crazy from her perspective. Is this my life after all my "well-done" accomplishments?
