"Bheegi bheegi sadkon pe main Tera intezar karun,
Dheere dheere dil ki zameen ko Tere hi naam karun..

Khudko main yoon kho doon Ke phir na kabhi paaun,
Haule haule zindagi ko Ab tere hawale karu...

Sanam re, sanam re..
Tu mera sanam hua re.."

Inside the Anand mansion, Chaaya's eyes flicked between the closed door of the mansion and her phone lying on the table.

Suddenly, a message popped up from a website, reporting that it had been raining heavily for two days. Ignoring the message, she sighed, her eyes lingering on the window where the rain blurred the outside view.

A sudden touch on her shoulder startled her; it was her husband, Girish Anand. He asked, furrowing his brows, "What are you doing here at 12 o'clock?"

Unable to hold back any longer, a sob escaped Chaaya's lips. Girish, confused by his beloved wife's tears, settled beside her on the sofa and held her hand. She drank a glass of water to calm herself.

"Mere bacha dukhi hai kya, Girish ji?" she asked.

Girish understood her internal turmoil. Ever since the wedding was fixed, Gautam had become excessively workaholic.

It was midnight, and there was no information about him. He knew she had called him multiple times, but he hadn't picked up even once. Now she was waiting for his call.

He, too, felt something was off with their son's behaviour but attributed it to workload.

"Nahi, biwi ji, aisa kuch nahi hai. You know what Vedant said," Girish tried to reassure her.

Verdant had mentioned a case involving Anand Corporation, where they were prime suspects. Gautam was trying to understand the reason behind their suspension. But it was Vishisht, the CEO of AC, who should have been the most responsible.

The ringtone of the phone interrupted their conversation, and Chaaya eagerly picked it up.

"Kaha ho tum?" she asked sternly, after her son finally called back after 20 missed calls.

His response wasn't positive, and it fueled her anger. She was worried sick because of the rain and thunderstorm outside.

"Office mein? Wahi raho. Ghar mat aana tum. Maa baap toh mar gaye hain na tumhare?" she taunted, reminding him that he had a family to care for.
