"I told him to leave,
yet he held me close,
My words cut deep,
but it's him they protect the most.
I won't let him love me,
I'll keep him away,
For loving me is a losing game,
and I won't let him play."-Devika Vyas
I inserted the key into the lock, the faint sound of the Doremon theme song playing in the background. I knew exactly what he was up to.
Pushing the door open, I was greeted by a sight that never failed to make me smile-there he was, dancing away, his front paws in the air while his back paws stayed grounded, twirling with a huge grin plastered across his little face, completely absorbed in his favourite show-Doremon.
Doremon, Ninja Hattori, Shinchan-all his favourites. My bunny, my naughty little puppy, who seemed to grow more mischievous by the day.
As I stepped inside, he immediately sensed my presence, just as he always did. He often came up to the terrace to find me, following my scent.
As expected, he spun around and started running toward me. I knelt down, arms open wide, ready to gather him up in a warm embrace, thinking he would leap into my arms like he missed me.
But to my utter surprise, my eyes widened as he dashed right past me.
Did he just hug Verdant behind me? Uff-he's ditched me for Vedant! Why didn't I die before witnessing this betrayal?
