The weeks following Walker's departure were filled with a whirlwind of emotions and activities. While I missed him terribly, I found myself being around my friends much more and threw myself into my work. It was during one of these busy days that I received some unexpected news.
I was in the middle of rehearsing for a minor part in a new show when my phone buzzed. I glanced at the screen and saw an email notification from my agent. Curious, I quickly opened it and started reading.
EMAIL
Subject: Congratulations! You've been cast!
"Dear Penelope,
We are thrilled to inform you that you have been cast in the upcoming film, You're So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. This is a fantastic opportunity, and we are confident that you will bring your unique talent and energy to the role.
Please find attached the script and further details about the project. We look forward to working with you.
