On the day of Walker's birthday, Penelope had no idea what was in store for her. Sunny picked her up in the evening, offering her usual cheerful smile.

"Ready for a night out?" Sunny asked as they drove through the city. "Absolutely," Penelope replied, feeling a mix of excitement and curiosity. "Where are we going?" Sunny grinned mischievously. "Just a little dinner. I thought it would be nice to get out and have some fun."

Penelope was intrigued but didn't press further. As they arrived at the restaurant, Sunny led her inside, where they were greeted by the warm ambience and a bustling crowd. Penelope felt a wave of relief as she settled into the cozy atmosphere, enjoying their meal and catching up with Sunny.

After dinner, Sunny suggested they take a quick detour before heading home. Penelope agreed, still unaware of the surprise awaiting her. Sunny drove them to a location Penelope didn't recognize. As they pulled up, Penelope saw a familiar crowd gathered outside a venue, decorated with balloons and streamers. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Walker's friends mingling among the decorations.

Sunny parked the car and turned to Penelope, her eyes twinkling with excitement. "Surprise!" Penelope's mouth fell open as she took in the scene. "What's this?" she asked, stunned. "It's Walker's birthday party," Sunny explained, her voice full of warmth. "I thought it would be nice if you were here." Penelope hesitated for a moment, her emotions a whirl of confusion and anticipation. "Are you sure? I don't want to make things awkward." Sunny's smile was reassuring. "I'm sure. I think it's the perfect opportunity for you and Walker to reconnect. It's up to you if you want to go in." Penelope took a deep breath, feeling a surge of resolve. "Okay, let's do this."

As they walked into the venue, the noise level increased, and Penelope felt a mix of nerves and excitement. Walker, standing near the entrance, was completely unaware of her arrival. Sunny guided Penelope toward Walker, who was busy chatting with his friends. The moment Walker saw Penelope, his eyes widened in surprise. He stood there, momentarily frozen, as a mix of emotions crossed his face.

"Penelope?" Walker said, his voice filled with disbelief. "What are you doing here?" Penelope managed a nervous smile. "Sunny brought me. I hope it's okay." Walker's expression softened, and he stepped forward. "Of course it's okay. I'm glad you're here." The two friends stood there, the weight of their past conversations hanging between them. The party continued around them, but for a brief moment, it felt like it was just the two of them.

Sunny watched from a distance, a hopeful smile on her face. She knew this surprise was just the beginning, and she hoped it would pave the way for healing and reconnection between Walker and Penelope.
