DCAS Episode 6

Can it really be a third season without a musical episode? NO!!!

TW: YAPPER ALERT!!!

Just looking at the thumbnail, you can tell what's going down. I mean, from the sight of Aiden and Tom kissing, you can tell that Jake has gone BALLISTIC.

We start off with everyone's least favorite character (/hj) YUL. Oh and Emily. So, Yul's manager (I'm surprised anyone would wanna boss HIM around) is having like a tantrum over him and Grett and it seems like the whole point of this is just to bring us closer to Emily being fired but I digress. Oh and uh Yul fatshames Grett again. Big surprise, Yul doesn't like Grett. Wow!! It's like we could never tell! 

Anyways, we flip over to Ms. NPC Ally sitting by the campfire. Ashley asks if Ally's alright and Ally is obviously not in the mood (as always). Ashley offers her to go stretch and Ally's just all monotone for some stupid ass reason. "*sigh* Guess it's better than moping around here!". You can't convince me that she isn't an NPC.

Jake and everyone's favorite demon child Fiore just spawn out of nowhere. Jake yaps, the end.

Ally and Ashley are taking a stroll and suddenly we find out that Ally doesn't miss Hunter. I know, shocking. It's like they haven't been fighting all season. Ally has some emotional moment and yap yap yap, when is the challenge gonna start?!

Nevermind, we obviously gotta check on Yellow Team. Apparently, they have a shower now and yeah. Seems like she's taking forever and Alec just spawns in and complains as per usual. Yap yap yap, Riya gets out of the shower. What was the entire point of this scene man?

Alright so the ch- Nevermind, we have to have a Yul and Grett scene. Grett's just standing there and Yul just casually walks in. Emily had the perfect idea of making Yul say everything she says so they "fix their relationship". Emily forces Yul to apologize to Grett and then we get a fake sappy apology scene. "I made a severe lapse in my judgement" I cannot take this scene seriously. Then they kis- Man that's it, I'm not waiting another 7 episodes until they break up.

Trevor comes to ask Emily where Derek is. Surprise surprise, he's hanging out with Kristal. I wonder where this is gonna go in about 6 episodes! Oh... OH GOD NO. NO NO NO NO!!!

The challenge star- MAN I SWEAR NOT AGAIN. Cyan team is sitting by a campfire eating Apples. They just talk about Tom's job for like a minute. This scene just like the shower scene has NO point and they're just trying to get the episode past the 30 minute mark (/hj).

After 8 MINUTES of pure nothingness, Kristal FINALLY calls the campers down. Basically the challenge is that each team has to write a song in the span of like 2 hours. The team with the best song wins. Basically just world tour but they get time to write the song. We get some of Trevor and his awesome sauce singing skills and yeah. Derek has the URGE to come in and scold Trevor for literally doing his job?... Oh and for some reason he wants to khs all because Trevor's horrible (AMAZING) singing skills. I don't even know man.

If I HAVE to recap the whole yapping session of everyone thinking of their songs, I will do some (not legal stuff). Plus, the only interesting thing is how Ellie is forcing everyone to do a love song where both Aiden and Tom kiss at the end only so she can piss off Jake.

Fiore goes to Marcus and Nina and whines about how her team only has 4 people and blah blah blah, they join her team.

Oh god.. Do I really have to talk about Piggyback? Please lord no.

Now I can't say this is bad compared to something like We Are Shearing Sheep from TDWT but it isn't good either. It would be cute but having to see Aiden and Tom kiss wants to make me backflip off of a building. Now obviously for plot, Jake sees it and goes ballistic and yeah. Another downside is we get like ONE line from Tess. #saveourgirltess. Besides that, the song overall is good.

Born to Drive Me Crazy is honestly pretty good. It would be better if Jake and NPC Ally weren't the main singers but hey, what else can you do. I honestly liked Jake in this song (ik shocker!!). Ashley only got like 3 lines but she was probably the best part of this entire song. Not to mention, I honestly forgot about Fiore so that speaks for itself (/j).

No Matter How Hard We Try is 🔥 and you CANNOT convince me otherwise. If the stage were not to have caught on fire, they would've won. Grett's singing is MUAH, where was this before???? My biggest concern is WHY DOES ALEC LOOK UNCANNY WITHOUT GLASSES. I mean, just look at him. Connor's line is EASILY one of my favorites, who doesn't love this guy?! I would say something about Yul but I love his singing. I still don't like him though 🤷. Now Riya, tsk tsk tsk. This woman has the audacity to say she's automatically awesome at decor because she's an actress yet SHE SET THE FUCKING STAGE ON FIRE. i automatically have to deduct points from the song just for that.

Because of Riya, Yellow Team automatically loses and sadly gets sent to elimination.

Now this episode has a horrible if not THE WORST (beside James and Lake's) elimination. Since everyone on Yellow is in the villains alliance, Connor gets sent home.

CONNOR GOT SENT HOME BEFORE MERGE TWICE IN A ROW. What are the statistics man?! Thankfully he comes back in Episode 11 but STILL.

Overall, this episode WOULD be a 7.5/10 but JUST for eliminating Connor, it gets a 6.5/10.

Sorry for the rant but here is my brutally honest opinion on DCAS episode 6. This is just my opinion, take it lightly.
