It was now the next day after the party and I was still laying in my room. I was too lazy to get up at the moment, so yeah. And I was still in my dress, which I didn't really mind, since I liked the dress.

Karmen and Gatsby made up last night, which means the Katsby ship is still sailing. :) I was really happy for them.

I wasn't mad at Nick. I was just upset. Upset that Jordan might still be in the picture. I just wanted to be sure that there was no Jordan to get in the way of me and Nick.

I sighed, finally deciding to get up. I changed into a light orange sweater, light skinny jeans, and white shoes.

After I changed, I walked out my room and started on my way to the dining room. On my way to the main stairs, I spot someone sitting on the first step, as if they're waiting for someone. It's Nick. I sigh, but I can't help but also smile a little.

I walk to the stairs next to Nick and he looks up at me. I look down at him and ask, "What are you doing?" Nick sighs. "Waiting for you."

I nod and sit next to him. Before he can say anything else to me I speak.

"Nick, I was never mad at you. I was just kind of upset because of what Jordan did, since you said there was no you and her anymore."

He nodded. "I really didn't know she would be there, or that she was going to do that. I'm sorry Kelsey, I really am."

I smiled at him. But it wasn't a real one. And again, somehow Nick knew this.

"What's wrong?" he asked me softly. I looked down at my shoes.

"What if she does it again?" I said while frowning. Nick looked at me intently. There was a long moment of silence before Nick finally said something.

"If she does, then I'll still be here. With you." I look at him and smile. But this time, it was a real one.

I stand up abruptly and hold my hand out to him.

"Come on, I'm hungry." I say with a big grin on my face.

Nick laughs and grabs my hand. Together, we walk hand-in-hand to the dining room.

I guess you could say I forgave Nick, even though I was never mad at him. But, everything was kind of normal now, I guess.

I sat in the library, since it feels like I haven't been there in forever. Karmen was with me too. So, I took the opportunity to talk about.....stuff.

I looked at Karmen and smirked. "Soooooo......" I said. She turned to me. "What?"

"How's Katsby?" I say nonchalantly. Karmen blushes. "We're good."

I continue to smirk. "So how was your second kiss?"

Karmen looked at me quickly.

"How do you know that happened!?" I laugh at the look on her face.

"Because I can tell! You're all smiley and stuff." I say to her.

She laughs. "Oh, I didn't even notice." Karmen then quickly changes the subject.

"Sooooo......Nelsey?" she asks me while grinning big. I shrug with a smile.

"I don't even know......" I trail off. Karmen was about to say something else when suddenly the door to the library opens.

We both look up simultaneously to see Gatsby. I look to Karmen out the corner of my eye and see her smile and blush.

"Hi Gatsby!" I say. He smiles down at us. "Hello darlings."

I suddenly feel like a third wheel. "Um, I'm going to go check on Gatz." I say while slowly getting up and leaving.

Before I leave though, I turn and look at Karmen and smirk. She sees me and laughs a little.

Once I left, I realized I had nothing to do. Looks like I'm going to Nick's house...... _________________________________________________________

I stayed at Nick's house for a little while, not as long as usual. The whole time I just avoided the topic of Jordan.

Right now though, it was silent. Not an awkward silence, a peaceful, calm silence.

I sat with my eyes closed enjoying the sound of nothing. I was like this for a while, until I felt like someone was staring at me. I don't know how I could feel that with my eyes closed, I just could.

So, I opened my eyes slowly.

Across from me Nick sat gazing at me. And when he saw me look at him, he didn't look away, just kept his stare. This went on for a while, it was like our own little staring contest.

Then, Nick spoke the words that I never thought I would hear him say. Not this soon at least. He spoke them with a beautiful smile. The words dripped off his tongue almost in a whisper, like he was savoring every syllable.

He said, "I love you."
