Chapter four

Aadi

I walk out of class with Karan, laughing. "That was fun."

"Indeed." He said coming beside me. "What are we doing now?"

"Cricket ofcourse! Is that even a question."

"Dude." Karan screamed. "We are out from the past hour."

"Chill. It's a free period now." I replied checking my watch.

"I am done bro." He said he raised his hands in the air.

"Laziness at its peak." I commented to which I find him rolling his eyes.

We were returning back but a voice stopped. A very beautiful one. We peeked inside the music room to find Aarushi singing. Damn! I never knew she could sing so well. There was no one in the room so we sneakily got in and quietly sat. She was too much into the song to even notice us.

I tried to focus on the lyrics
Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was

I found myself staring at her. I just couldn't take my eyes off. Damn!

She looked up singing and the moment she saw us she stopped. Her hand still on the guitar strings. "What?" She spoke blankly.

"You have really good voice." Karan complemented her and she awkwardly thanked him.

Karan nugded me in the arm. "Aadi." He again shaked me.

"What?" I looked at him and then realised. Shit. I have been staring at her for I don't know how much time.

"Umm I will leave." She awkwardly replied. She kept the guitar down and got up to leave.

"You are beautiful." I spoke again and then regretted. What the hell am I even speaking.

"Huh?" She looked at me like I was monster.

"I mean um your voice. Yah that _ is beautiful." I replied quickly.

"Thanks." Before I could say something else she disappeared.

Aarushi

Ok now that was embarrassing. What must they be thinking about me? I sing so bad and it was them who had to hear. What if they make fun of me? Or worse tell everyone that I don't sing good? My mind is going to burst now.

"Hey Aarushi." Avinash came up to me.

Ha Bhai sab aajao or mera dimag kharab karo.

"Now what Avinash?"

"Ms. Williams is looking for you."

"There goes my whole day in work." I sarcasticly commented and ran to mam.

"Oh fuck." I dashed with someone, again. And to my displeasure it has to be him. I just continued walking ignoring him.

"You are supposed to say sorry." He screamed for me to hear as he knew I won't be stopping. I just showed him the middle finger and then continued walking. But then again regretted my actions. I stopped and turn around to find some girls staring at me as they are gonna pull my eyes out. Shit. Fucked up.

"I have some doubts in biology." Aadi smirked.

"Which chapter?" I asked knowing very well where this is going.

"Reproduction." He replied with so much innocence. Oh god! Why did I agree to do this.

"I will send you a lecture on YouTube that will clear your doubts." He just gave me an annoying look.

"You ruined all the fun." I just gave him a small smile.

"And now that you are talking about science, why don't we start with chemistry."

"Nooooo

"Oh yeahhh." I chuckled.

After just 15 minutes of teaching, he aggressively closed his book and got up. "I am done for today."

"You literally sat just 15 minutes and you did zone out for 5 times." I replied.

"Then let's take a short break." He suggested.

"But we just

"We will go grab an icecream and then study again. What say?"

"No I

"Oh come on." He again cut me and now my patience has reached its limit.

"Shut up." I got up from the chair gaining the stairs. Ofcourse we are in a library.

"Jeez woman, calm down. We'll do as you say."

"That's like an obedient student." I joked and he just stared at me. "Okay now, let's go." I walked out with him behind me.

"You are quite confident compared to other nerds." He commented.

"Took me many years. But hey I am not a nerd okay? I am a topper." I replied recalling the past. I was bullied back then and now the same guy always dms me. Ironic, isn't it?

"Do you hate me?" He again questioned.

"A lot." I replied dramatically showing him my hands.

"May I know why?"

"No you may not." I replied chuckling.

"One more question." He said. "Where the hell do you even apply that math? Atleast we apply biology." He smirked.

"Uhh. You are so dirty." I gave him a disgusting look.

"What? I am just stating some facts." He protested.

"Well then keep that with you."

We ate icecream and then he dragged me to a park forcefully where he just bullied some kids and I had apologize to their moms. Then he further snatched a child's chocolate and gave it to me. We had to walk to the shop and buy that child a new chocolate. He then pushed me onto a couple creating a mess.

Walking back school, he chased dogs, rang door bells of the houses and what not. This guy is a disaster. The whole time I had to handle him and he was having the fun of his life.

"Today was fun." He said as he was walking me home. I didn't want him to but he insisted.

"For you." I replied. "I can go from here. I don't want rumours."

"You think a lot about others, Shortie."

That sentence made me think. Why am I like this? Life would have been a little different if I had been carefree.
