A Day of Encounters

The meeting had just ended, and I rushed to La Salle, my schedule with Mr. Ramirez looming over me. It was last minute, and I was feeling the pressure to pass my plates. As I hurried through the halls, two familiar figures came into view - Shea and Sam. Relief washed over me as I embraced them, their warm touch calming my nerves.

After handing in my plates to Mr. Ramirez, I made my way to the cafeteria, searching for my friends. I spotted them near the food stalls, and Shea greeted me with a smile, "Uy, nanjan na pala si Princess Archi natin." Sam chimed in, "Hello, Archi Villanueva, you look good today."

"Ahh, oo," I replied, "May meeting kasi sa planning firm, nag-ayos lang to look professional. At tsaka, SOON to be archi pa ha, ang o-oa niyo." I sat down, joining them, and we began chatting.

Suddenly, Sam announced, "My friends gonna be here soon, Callie."

Shea's eyes lit up, "Yess, I can see Grey again, I missed her pogi face so bad."

"Sino bang mga yan, may nakikilala na kayo ha?" I asked, intrigued.

"Ohhh... nanjan na pala sila," Sam said.

"Right timing," Shea added.

A girl sat down, introducing herself with a casual "What's up, guys?" This must be Grey.

Then, a familiar voice startled me. "Sup," it said from behind.

I turned around, my heart skipping a beat. It was Maxwell. He sat down in front of me, beside Sam, and pulled her into a hug, kissing her forehead. "I missed you, bub," Sam whispered, her voice laced with affection.

Potang-, sila ba????

As Shea, Sam, and the others chatted away, a sense of unease settled within me. Despite the lively conversation around me, I felt disconnected, lost in my own thoughts.

Feeling overwhelmed, I excused myself and made my way to the bathroom. Alone in the quiet space, I checked my phone, only to be startled by a notification that read, "Are you okay, this is Max." The message caught me off guard, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of discomfort.

Amidst my contemplation, a familiar scent filled the bathroom, signaling someone's presence. Though I sensed someone entering, my mind was preoccupied with Max's message and how she had obtained my number.

A gentle voice broke through my thoughts, "Are you okay? You looked sorrowful earlier," it was Max. Surprised by her concern, I stammered, "Huh, I- uh, yes, I'm fine," hastily hiding my phone.

Curious and a bit flustered, I asked, "Pano mo pala nakuha number ko?"

"Oh, she gave it to me, why?" Max replied casually.

Unsettled by the situation, I decided it was best to leave. As I turned to go, Max unexpectedly reached out, gently grasping my wrist, and planted a kiss on my cheek before I could react.
