It was after dismissal that she saw the two boys.She walked up to Zarin who seems carried away by their chat.
" Hi Zarin ",She pouted.
" Emer ", he smiled and held her hands tightly.
" Are we going home now? ", Zain asked nobody in particular.
We?, Emerald hates the fact that they have to walk home with Zain almost everyday!
" I'm not sure ", Zarin answered.
" Anyways where's Gabi ?".
" Don't know ", Zarin shrugged.
Just then, they saw a dark chubby girl running towards them. That was Gabrielle, Gabi for short. They walk home together with her everyday.
" Hey guys ", she muttered under her breath.She seems to be running for a long time.
" Sorry for wasting much of your time ", She apologized.
" No problem ", said Zarin.
" Hi Emer ", She smiled.
" Hi ", Emerald replied the smile.
They rarely talk to each other, not that they have grudges against each other but that they aren't close. She is more closer to Zarin and Zain , her old friends in Grade 2. It haven't been long since they met . She had been flitting from one school to another in New Netherlands where she lived with her parents. But now, she lives with her Aunt who enrolled her into Pinkston High school.
They chattered happily as they walked home.
" Are you guys coming to the theatre in the evening ? ", Gabi asked.
Zarin looked at Emerald ." Are you coming ? ", he asked.
" I'll come only if you come ", She smiled.
" We're all coming ", said Zain
Emerald rolled her eyeballs.She wished he won't come.

Emerald Allison had lost her parents at the age of eight.  She've been living with her Grandma and their househelp, Julie after the incident. Julie have been serving them right from when she was four till now she's seventeen. Infact Julie is part of their family.
Emerald searched her wardrobe as if looking for something.
" What's the problem? ", Julie asked from behind.
" Looking for what to wear ",She replied still on the search . Emerald has this problem of selecting what to wear and Julie is always good in solving it.
" Where are you going to? ", Julie asked joining the search.
" To the theatre ".
" With Zarin? ", She pulled out a red sleeveless dress which was close-fitting.
The dress was void of design but yet stylish.
" And his friends ", Emerald added.
" Here ", Julie handled Emerald the gown.
" Thanks ", she took it from her and began to wear it.
" Theatre goer ", Julie teased as put on her clothes.
" Oh Julie stop ! ", She smiled widely.
Julie was much like a friend to her, infact more than a friend. Emerald always enjoy telling her a lot of things about her especially school snippets. They do enjoy each other company not minding their age difference.
" Your hair is untidy. Hurry up, I'll weave it before you leave ".
