"Turn right and... Here?"
Holding his phone, Galahad looked over to a corner to see his new home provided by the HIA.
"Oh? Not bad..."
Upon seeing the exterior of the home given to him, Galahad couldn't help but compliment it. "It's simple and inconspicuous- perfect for a secret government hideout."
The house given to him, as he had stated, didn't stand out from the houses next to it. It was a simple two-story house whose entrance was directly facing the street. The tan walls had signs of wearing off, and the overall outlook of it all was pretty normal.
In essence, it was a perfect place to hide things from the public without standing out.
Approaching the door, Galahad saw a standard door with a doorknob that had a scanner on top.
Pulling out his phone, Galahad opened the QR code provided to him by the Association and placed it on the doorknob scanner.
Beep.
And just like that, with the confirmation from the doorknob, the door was unlocked.
'How convenient... I should print this code in the future for easier use.' Nodding his head at the efficiency of modern technology, Galahad tucked his phone back into his pocket and entered his new abode.
However, the first thing he saw upon entering was a clutter of mess scattered all around. Boxes and items covered by a white cloth were on the floor everywhere he looked, causing an unpleasant aesthetic in Galahad's eyes.
"..." Seeing this, Galahad fell into a momentary silence. A second later, his eyes twitched. "Those Association guys... Couldn't they have at least cleaned up after themselves, and left a clean place for the next guy? Seriously..."
Among the things Galahad hates the most, uncleanliness is clearly among the top. Whenever he sees a disorganized room, an innate urge to clean up the whole place takes over his senses.
Closing the door behind him, Galahad surveyed the area before him for a minute before lightly sighing. He then rolled up his sleeves. "Alright... Let's start cleaning."
With a solid resolution, Galahad didn't waste time further and started cleaning up the place, for the sake of his mind and body.
---
As Galahad went and cleaned up his new residence, the sun outside started moving, and, unbeknownst to Galahad, a whole afternoon had already passed.
Not too long after, the warm tinge of the golden light emanated by the setting sun over New Eridu started peering through the windows of his new home.
In this new sanctuary of his, only the quiet humming sound of the air conditioner was present.
Galahad, who was only wearing his white dress shirt with his sleeves rolled up, sat down after a long day of cleaning. "Huff... That should do it."
His sharp golden eyes then looked over to the room he was in. Compared to when he first entered, everything was now clean.
Apart from the pile of trash he kept on the corner to throw out later, everything else was up to his cleanliness standards.
"Those documents... I'm guessing they are still important..." Looking over to a small table not far from him which had stacks of papers, Galahad sighed softly. "I should store them for the time being. The Association might need them..."
After uttering this, Galahad took out his phone and checked the time. 'It's already five... Time sure moves fast when you're busy cleaning up after people...'
