"Here you go! One Red Chilli Meat Noodles!"
General Chop, the chef of the Koi Noodle House, gave Galahad his bowl before leaving and attending another customer.
"Thank you." Although he wasn't sure if the chef managed to hear it, Galahad still nonetheless thanked the chef.
Turning his head and looking down at his bowl of ramen, Galahad couldn't help but admire it.
The vibrant colors of the dish—the deep red broth, succulent slices of pork, perfectly cooked egg, and crisp greens—were a feast for his eyes. He leaned in, inhaling deeply, the spicy scent of the chili tickling his nose and making his mouth water.
Just its appearance alone was telling Galahad that it would be a satisfactory meal.
Taking a ramen spoon and fork, Galahad placed a decent amount of noodles and broth into the spoon. Additionally, he also added a piece of the pork slice.
'This is... Magnificent.' Looking at the perfect blend of ingredients in front of him, Galahad took a minute to appreciate it.
"Thank you for the meal."
After doing his habit before eating, Galahad looked at the meal in front of him with anticipation.
Galahad couldn't wait any longer. He picked up the ramen spoon and fork, diving eagerly into the steaming bowl of Red Chilli Meat Noodles. His fork twirled the noodles, lifting a generous portion coated in the fiery red broth.
As he brought the first bite to his mouth, the flavors exploded on his tongue—a perfect blend of savory pork, rich broth, and the sharp kick of chili.
'It... has a decent kick of spice and a delectable flavor...' He assessed as he chewed the food. 'It's truly... sublime...' He slurped up the noodles, savoring the way they soaked up the spicy broth.
Using the spoon, he scooped up a piece of tender pork, its edges slightly caramelized and full of flavor, and placed it in his mouth. The meat practically melted in his mouth, blending beautifully with the heat of the chili.
Next, he tackled the perfectly soft-boiled egg, its yolk creamy and rich. The fork speared a few crisp greens, adding a fresh crunch to each bite. As he ate, the heat from the chili finally started warming him from the inside out, but he found it invigorating rather than overwhelming.
Each mouthful was a delightful balance of textures and tastes—the smooth broth, the chewy noodles, the tender meat, and the fresh vegetables.
Galahad's initial hunger gave way to pure enjoyment, the simple pleasure of a well-crafted bowl of ramen on a cool evening. He continued to eat, savoring each bite, grateful for the comforting meal in front of him.
'I knew it... Going here was the best decision I could have made...'
As the evening started to get deeper into the night and more people started appearing and departing Sixth Street, Galahad immersed himself in enjoying his meal. Before he knew it, his meal was almost finished.
"Well, aren't you an enthusiastic fellow?" General Chop, the chef of Koi Noodle House, noticed Galahad's immersed expression and couldn't help but point it out. "I'm surprised you could eat that without any water. Most people don't even last halfway."
Hearing the chef talking to him, Galahad raised his head and looked back at him. He then reciprocated with a light smile. "Well, it's just that good. Compliments to the chef."
"Haha! That's great to hear!" Receiving Galahad's reply, General Chop laughed with a hint of satisfaction and pride.
Putting down his ramen spoon, Galahad smiled softly before uttering, "Sixth Street earns its reputation for being a tourist spot indeed. Moving here wasn't a mistake."
