My bare feet walked across the cold, tiled floor, a double door in front of me. I push forward, entering a bright room, lit with fluorescent white lights. Light grey shelves on my right and left, organized with children toys. A rainbow streaked across the walls. Children crawling across the floor in hospital gowns, moving cars with their minds along the rainbow stripes on the floor. A man with blonde hair in a white jumper stood near the mirror on the wall opposite from the doors, talking to a girl a few years younger than me. I look down at my left arm, my 009 staring back at me, seeming to bore into my skin. I walk towards the shelves and take 3 wooden dice, making them float in the air. I watch them spin and imagine them as flying birds, free, soaring above the world, not restrained by white tiled walls, and overbearing white lights.
I look up and notice the girl and the blond man she was talking to gone, assuming they must have went to another room for training. I hear the creak of the doors open, as a mans presence darken the doorway. His white hair perfectly combed back, his suit hiding his old skin, his piercing eyes scanning the room, looking for one of his experiments to stand out. Papa. He walks towards a boy slightly older than me, holding a fortune ball. They both leave the room together for training. The door shuts, the sound sending a shock wave through my bones. Imagery flashes through my eyes, blood smeared across the floor and the walls, children's eyes removed from their head. This wasn't my imagination, it couldn't be. It was a warning. Something was about to happen, something bad, and I needed to hide.
I walked out of the rainbow room as I heard children screaming from the right side of the hallway. I ran in the opposite direction, finding a closet with brooms and mops. I hid behind a shelf filled with cleaning supplies. The screams grew louder and more frequent, until all of a sudden, they stopped. I peaked my head from out of the closet, dead guards scattered throughout the hallway. My mind couldn't think from the horrific scene in front of me, but my legs knew what to do, my feet pounded on the floor in front of each other as my speed picked up.

My lungs ached and I could feel my legs beginning to cramp, but none of that mattered. What mattered was getting out of this hell hole. After what felt like the millionth door, I opened the very last one, as I looked up, and saw my very first glimpse of the sun. I felt its warmth against my skin. I couldn't enjoy it now, I had to go somewhere the bad men couldn't find me. So I ran towards the thick forest ahead of me. Preparing for my life to change, forever.
