"Toktogaok, toktogaok" (rooster's sound echoed all over the place)
"Good morning, you're early"
a greeting and a question by the princess as he greeted the young captain.
"It's my usual routine to get up early even having barely a couple of hours to sleep, by the way I apologize for yesterday it's just I am pressured by what had happened"
captain replied.
"It's nothing, but perhaps if you really want to make it up with me a hot cup of coffee will do"
the princess replied with a cute smile on her face.
"You heard the Princess go get some coffee and make it two, move!" captain Jovencio ordered one of his men.
"Eh I thought you will make the coffee personally, anyways I believe you are the captain for a reason" princess told the captain while having disappointment written all over her face.
"What does that supposed to mean?" curios about what the princess meant for those words.
"By the way what had happened on the market it's really my fault, I was not paying attention while walking guess to busy looking for something"
the princess told the Capt. to continue the conversation.
"Oh that I totally forgot that it's you I bumped into the market, you seemed so different without the bodyguards and the chaperones surrounding you" captain replied."I just want to be a normal person once in awhile"
"Yeah right we all need that from time to time"
"Why? Are you a celebrity yourself or perhaps famous? Haha" (a question followed by an awkward laugh by the princess)
"Not a celebrity but growing up seems all the eyes is on me for being the sole heir to a big company"
"Hmmm and which company is that?"
A curios question by the princess"I don't know if you knew or heard about it but it's the 'Soda-kola' a company that has been passed on from my ancestors of the first generation down to the next generation and I'm escaping that responsibility while doing what I love to serve my beloved country"
"The biggest softdrinks company not only here but also in other countries? You're joking right?"
"Yep that's it!"
"Perhaps you and I are not so different from each other, we do have big responsibilities waiting for us and I don't even have any choice about it!"
"Indeed you are right princess Crisminah, a responsibility that we can escape for awhile but destined for us from the moment we are born!"
"Why the face? Are you not happy and proud you're going to inherit a big company?"
"Well let me ask you, are you happy to be married by someone who will take over the Sultanate someday?
A cold silence took over the atmosphere between the princess and the captain as they looked into each others eyes.
"Of course not! I'm the type of girl that wants to be married because of love and not some traditional fix marriage"
The princess replied to break the silence.
"There goes my answer too, I chose this path because I love serving my country and my fellowmen. But at the end of the day I need to be where my family and responsibilities needs me, that's the sad truth"
"Yes you are right, sometimes I just wish to switch places with Divine to escape my fate but that happens only in movies right?"
Before the captain can reply..
"Two hot coffees for my handsome commander and of course for the very beautiful princess Crisminah"
The sergeant's jolly entrance while interrupting the deep conversation between the princess and the young captain.
"Thank you" princess Crisminah replied with an awkward smile while looking into the captains eyes.
"Every daw gives me always that a new day is better than yesterday that is why I stop asking myself why instead I just run my thoughts and let it fly"
"Hmmmm not only a brave handsome soldier with a hidden wealth also a poet, a perfect yet deadly combination"
Warm smiles replaces the seriousness on both their faces as princess Crisminah gives compliment to the captain's hidden poetic talent.
"Deadly to the enemies?"
"No! Deadly to the girls specially that Vanessa who melts like an ice cream every time she talks about you!"
A sudden change of mood by the princess
"Vanessa? The nurse? What about her?"
"Nothing it's just you are so compatible with each other, shey pretty you are handsome"
"26 years of existence my princess but you are the most beautiful girl my eyes ever laid on"
"Aheemmm! Ah excuse me for interrupting but your presence is requested by the doctors and the people my princess for our last day in here"
Leo the head of Princess's escorts words while breaking the sweet momentum between the princess and the captain
"Oh yes of course! Tell them give me a couple of minutes to freshen up and I'll be there"
The princess walks away with face red as the apple for blushing with the captain's sweet adoration and surprisingly confession to her.
"You're maybe the Captain but the princess is out your league!" Flirt with other girls in town as many as you want but the princess is off limits"
Overprotective or jealous but Leo's words are crystal clear that he don't the captain to get close with princess Crisminah
Meanwhile..........
"Don Ramon welcome back how was your 'business trip' from Zulu?"
"Don Miguel the man I wanted to see! Ahm my trip has you know some good news, very good news and not so good news, which one do you want to hear first my friend?"
"Ah before we go to the news you brought I assume you also brought my request right?"
"Of course how can I forget aside from looking unto the situation or your one and only son it's the only thing you asked before I depart. Pablo please get the kris sword from my baggages"
"Hahahaha I know I can always count on you Don Ramon, I assume you are tired and of course hungry right? Let's talk about the news you have over dinner"
"Hahahahah sounds delicious to me"
