"This kris sword my friend forge centuries ago, not only a trademark of indigenousy but also a symbol of courage and oneness of the Moro people and as long as this kris sword is in the hands of my Surname the pact between us and the Moro people headed by the Sultan will never be broken! It is a matter of time where our blood unites to form the alliance that will end decades of disputes"

"Don Miguel I know you and the Sultan share the same principle on this alliance but I'm just curios since we are moving towards a new century do you think this will actually work? I mean my friend I know Spaniards and the Moro's had a long history back then but how will the next generation understand and embrace this ideology? Please enlighten me with your thoughts before we talk about the news that I have on my trip"

Click click, (a sound of fire emerge as Don Miguel open his one of a kind vintage lighter to lit his favorite cigar, and a calm sound of a cigar slowly burnt by the fire made his intro while compiling his words to answer Don Ramon

"Growing up I believe that we people of Spanish descent are the superior, dominant born as king, ruler, aristocrats or as we say at this time the Don's. Owner of vast lands, discoverer of continents creator of civilizations. With our massive galleon ships we compete side by side with the Chinese traders disregarding them as pioneers of goods trading. But we only did not introduce our products here we also brought our beliefs, culture and tradition. Spaniards played a big role on our countries culture and tradition we almost reformed everything in line on what we want to happen but behold only the Moro's did not yield, they'd rather die than imitate our ways and for that they have my respect. Many have tried to conquer their land yet many had failed. A single speck can be blown away by a careless wind but a speck put together by blood and courage is as strong as a boulder."

"Miguel my friend I almost drowned on the depths of that, but yes it made sense. Before, all I hear is rumors of chaos due to arm conflict but when I arrived and experienced the place as well as the people It's a totally different picture. Rich culture preserved and pass on to younger generations is all I can see, I do believe they are being misinterpreted for being aggressive when actually they are defending their territory and I can't blame them for many have tried to get it from them"

"I'm glad that you witness and experience it personally Don Ramon, Imagine if everything goes well according to our plan both parties can live peacefully for the years to come. I  believe respect and beliefs can go along side by side harmoniously. That's the vision that we both shared by the Sultan Pedrosah but agreement is most effective with a blood on it. Remember blood is thicker than the water, our ancestors honors agreement with a blood compact how much more an alliance brought by blood itself running on the veins of the offsprings of my son and the princess if this goes well. For now it is too good be true but prevention is always better than cure."

"I can see the bigger picture now Don Miguel but did you consider your son's opinion when he knows about it?"

"As Jovencio is growing up I can see in him just and fair. With a golden spoon on his mouth he did not have any problem dwelling with other people. He can be the owner at the same time a worker, being rich and being poor at once. He hates injustice. That's why love is the most important recipe on this alliance."

"Just and fair not mention being humble are the words that best describe your son. A rare trait that is not after of power and wealth when he is born with it."

"Anyways since we both knew that Jovencio is the perfect actor for this social experiment can you tell me about your news? And please start with the very good news please"

Don Miguel quickly and excitingly turn the conversation around,

"Well the very good news is I spoke with Sultan Pedrosah about her daughter the princess about her personal being and it turns out she is 100% live image of your description. Not basing on Sultan's words but I saw it personally"

"What do you mean Don Ramon? That indeed the princess is such a beauty?"

"Beautiful yes! But more importantly her beautiful personality, too many words to describe her but being a lovely wife, nurturing mother and empowering woman in the community is what I can see beneath the beautiful face."

"Hmmmmmm such a wonderful news to hear, what about the good news? Phewwwwwww"

Don Miguel eagerly asked the 2nd news while blowing and playing with the smoke from his cigar,

"She wants to be a teacher!"

"And?"

"That's it Don Miguel, imagine a princess wanting to be a teacher how good is that? a selfless profession my friend"

"Now that you've mention it the princess once wrote a letter addressed on my name in a form of business proposal. Well as you know my company's product since people power happened is very hard to go on such isolated places and that letter alone solved the problem my marketing managers cannot solve in three years. At first I thought someone with an MBA degree wrote that yet I am amazed that Princess Crisminah herself wrote it. I mean if you're on my shoes you will also think that a princess that did not take any business course can write that, perhaps she is a perfect combination of beauty and brains right Don Ramon?!"

"Speaking of perfect combination the not so good news is that your son and the princess's first acquaintance did not go well." (Frustrated facial expression justifies Don Ramon's words)

"My son is with another girl again, I knew it always a womanizer! He knew a woman like princess Crisminah is so conservative! Konyo!"

"Shhhh shhhhh my friend your heart, it's not like that since your son left to join the army he is a completely different man, I can't barely see any city boy aura on him."

"That man will never change always gives me disappointment! Konyo! Pablo give me another cigar"

"Let me finish first, on the night the Sultan host a relevant event of course to set up the meeting of your son and his daughter the princess seems not interested on Jovencio. Your son handsome as always did everything a young bachelor should in a party like that it's just that princess Crisminah ignored him."

"Hmmmm not a good news at all, Pablo quick give me my pen and paper I will write a letter to the Sultan"

"Si senyor" Pablo replied

"Calm down my friend it's only the first meeting, before I depart from Zulu the Sultan made sure his going to set up another situation where the will meet and to know each other again."

"Let's just pray and hope Don Ramon my son finds the princess as a woman full of surprises because Jovencio's interest on girls is as short as his temper, I hope that kris sword hanging on my wall will bring good luck"

"Luck alone is insufficient for this to work out, we need to move and take all the risk!"

"What do you have in mind Don Miguel?"

"I will make Jovencio go home for a moment I will fake a sickness so that he will have no reason to come home and once his here I will reveal our plans and let's hope he will understand and cooperate"

"Sounds risky yet it will give clarity if he will approve it"

"Here goes nothing Don Ramon please write a letter to Sultan Pedrosah about this plan on my behalf, I can count on you right?"

"Consider it done my friend!"
