Chapter 3

Y/n pov:

2 weeks earlier.

"Y/N! can you come down and help with Aila!?" The caretaker yelled from downstairs. The orphanage was just as loud as ever..mainly because of  the five year olds here.

"Coming!" I say rushing down the stairs. I took aila out of my caretakers arms and sat her down infront of the tv and switched it on. I gave her the remote which might bite me in the back later but I had already most likely missed the bus.

I waved goodbye and went over to my motorbike. I put in my helmet and sat on it. As I drove off and headed to school I noticed the fields flower shop from the corner of my eye, it smelt and looked nice today.

As I made it to school my other friends, emily and Rebecca waved over to me and came running over.

"Y/n!" Emily rushed over and hugged me. "Me and becca have the same homeroom class! What about you?" She says eagerly.

"I have homeroom with mr Thomas.. I think." I say placing my helmet on top of my bike.

Their faces became a frown. I looked curiously at them.

"Stupid teachers! Always keeping atleast one of us apart from the other." Rebecca complained "we have Mrs Page." She said hugging me once I had gotten my stuff all sorted.

"Do we atleast have the same break and lunch's?" I say trying to be optimistic but knowing that I can't hide the sadness in my voice.

"We have 1 class in the morning then break. Then 2, lunch and 2 then it's the end of the day." Emily groaned as she said that.

My mouth was agape. "Seriously?! We don't even have the same lunch or break times!" I sulked. "I've got 2, 2, 1!"

"Lucky?! That would be my favourite timetable ngl" becca rolled her eyes as we walked.

I laughed "would it though?"

"Especially with mr Thomas in the morning" Emily sighed dreamily. "He's sooo handsome" Emily was fangirling.

Me and becca laughed at her crushes they were always the most random of people.. especially mr Thomas?! I remember I thought he was 39 when I first met him. It's a shame though, the only time I'll be able to see them is at morning time and at the end of the day.

Before I knew it I was waving as them when we had to go our separate ways, I quickly hugged the both of them and quickly went to mr thomas' class.

When I got in there were already many people in..but no teacher? I quickly found my seat. Wigich was next to this golden retriever like boy? I just shrugged and went on my phone.

After a minute or so these two twins rushed into the door, the male twin missing a shoe I got jumped by them shouting and quickly put my phone away.

"Sorry we're late!" Them male said.

"please don't mark us tardy!" The female one exclaimed.

"Oh? Are two of my students already late on the first day?" Mr Thomas said from behind them but in a non threatening voice.

I took a sneaky picture and sent it to emily.

I stopped texting the group once I heard the word introduction. I sighed again and put my phone back in my bag as I listened to the introductions.

The first girl was with ginger hair and she was kinda short. "Ashlyn banner. I like dogs" she said quickly then sat back down in her seat.

Than a boy with red eyes? And a creepy smile stood up. "Aiden! I like bungee jumping rock climbing-" he continued on. Until he stopped.

Next was a boy who was asleep already, I was shocked but semi jealous that he got to miss introduce things.

"That's Ben!" Aiden introduced him.

After a couple of other people introduced themself it came to the twins.

"I'm Taylor Hernandez! I'm in the mechanics club come say hi if you get the chance!" The female said cheerily.

"Tyler Hernandez. Yes we're twins, I'm in the baseball club" the male said uninterested.. I already knew we wouldn't get along..

The golden retriever like boy introduced himself next. "I-ummm the..Logan.fields, sorry just Logan...I.like astrology" he said stuttering a lot..

Then it was my go. "Y/n l/n. I'm in the athletics club" I then sat back down and let other people introduce themself.

"Alright! Now that introductions are over I'll explain the term long group project we're doing!" Mr thomas clapping his hands.

I facepalmed. "This would've been a lot easier with Emily and becca.." I muttered under my breath.

"This will be in groups of seven or eight people! And..there will be a field trip to savannah that tags along with the project!" Mr Thomas said very happily. "And no no one can work alone..alright get into your groups and start discussing!"

I swallowed up my social anxiety and turned to Logan was it? I took a breath then asked him "would you like to be in a group with me?" I asked him surprised at how confident I sounded.

The boy looked around wondering if I was asking him once he realised I was asking him he agreed. "Yeah sure.." he said not so confidently.

"Great!" I smiled at him.. and before I knew we in a group of 7.

The group of 7 was, Ben, aiden, Ashlyn, Taylor, Tyler, Logan and me. We all gave each other our numbers and we were added to a group chat all together called 'savannah project'.

We all started discussing what we wanted to do for the project, I didn't suggest any plainly because I don't like travelling.. but I would go to this one just to not stress out my caretaker.

Right before the bell rang I asked Logan his timetable. Luckily he had the exact same as mine I could tell he is a responsible person so I hope just incase I forget my timetable I could follow him.
