They say each assassin followed her secret path. Some paths like her own began in the dark...

Nightfall came, and Elektra changed into her vigilante clothing later that evening. Her attire was a red-necked leotard with matching boots and wraps around her legs and arms - this was her mother's uniform. Her Twin Sai were as cold as the night's air when she held them, and she tied a long red ribbon around her head, extending down to her neck.

After changing, Elektra quietly climbed out of her window and jumped to the rooftop of her loft building where she resided

After changing, Elektra quietly climbed out of her window and jumped to the rooftop of her loft building where she resided. She took a deep breath to embrace the night, releasing her inner immunity that had been concealed during her time at the NYPD. Then she turned away from the city and stretched her arms wide, leaping off the rooftop to descend to the ground. Before she could even touch the concrete, she was whisked away in the blink of an eye, propelled by the power of her Twin Sai, moving gracefully through the city.

Her journey halted on the edge of a roof, where she observed two burglars breaking into a jewellery store.

"If there's one thing I hate about shopping after hours, it's competition," she muttered under her breath.

Dressed in her vigilante garb, Elektra swung on a rope and landed on the roof of the store. Gently opening a window, she lowered herself inside, moving silently and unnoticed.

"This is gonna take a soft hand... don't wanna set off the alarms," one of the burglars said as he examined a diamond and sapphire necklace.

"Bling-bling, baby... just what we came here for," his partner concurred.

When their backs were turned, Elektra pounced, grabbing one of the burglars by the neck and hurling him across the room. The partner, startled by her sudden presence, pulled out his gun and fired several shots. Elektra swiftly darted across the room, dodging the bullets. She somersaulted behind the armed man and delivered a powerful kick to his stomach.

The first burglar, struggling to get back on his feet, was inadvertently knocked out by his partner, and they lay defeated, unconscious.

As Elektra prepared to leave, an alarm suddenly blared. Minutes ticked by, and the distant wail of approaching police sirens echoed through the night. She knew she had to disappear quickly, for better or worse, to avoid being caught at the scene of the crime.

"Hey," a voice whispered, startling Elektra.

"Who's there?" She demanded, brandishing her Sai and scanning her surroundings.

"Up here."

Elektra's gaze turned upwards, and she was met with the sight of an upside-down Victor Creed, swinging from the ceiling with outstretched arms.

"Detective Creed?" She muttered, her surprise evident.

"Hurry, before we get shot!" Victor hissed urgently.

As the police closed in, Elektra swiftly manoeuvred her Twin Sai in the air, allowing herself to swing into a somersault. She grabbed Victor's outstretched hand, and he pulled them both into a nearby vent, narrowly evading the police. After a tense escape, they found themselves on the roof of the jeweller's building. Elektra turned to face Victor.

"How did you know I was here?" She asked, her voice tinged with suspicion.

Pulling down his scarf, Victor replied with a playful smile, "What can I say? I got curious. Just had to make sure that it was you, Elekta Natchios."

Elektra's face contorted with anger. She kicked him in the groin, forcing his back to the wall, and had her Sai pressed against his throat. He groaned in response.

"Answer my question, Creed," she hissed, her voice holding back her temper.

"Your surname matched one of Hugo Natchios, the Natchios Murder," Victor explained, keeping his gaze away from the sharp weapon. "Fifteen years ago, when he and his wife were killed by unnamed assailants who were after her. It was never solved, so they closed the case. Too bad they left out the part that their daughter works for the NYPD."

"You don't even know me," Elektra retorted.

"Then tell me this; why would you, the daughter of a Greek ambassador, land a job at the NYPD?" Victor challenged.

Elektra's memories flooded back—the trauma of her parents' deaths, the unresolved case, and the tears that never ceased. She removed the Sai from his throat and walked away, then stopped abruptly.

"I don't have time for this," she retorted, pausing. "I know somebody killed my parents... and I want to find out who and why. My father was friends with Captain Stacy and ensured I got a place there should anything happen to him. At first, I wanted to go against it, but it got me thinking. This may be a clue to finding my killer. Which is why I'm going to cross measures and make sure they pay for what they did to me."

Victor turned to face her, his expression serious.

"You're gonna need some extra assistance," he stated, sighing. "And have evidence."

Elektra seemed to ponder this for a moment, silently contemplating the potential alliance with this enigmatic detective.

"I like you, Creed, but don't get your hopes too high," she said, raising an eyebrow. "This is business, and I intend to keep it discreet that way."

Victor pressed on, "You want answers to who killed your parents? I can help you find them unless you let me."

"I didn't ask for a partner."

"You're gonna need one, anyway."

Elektra made her way towards the end of the building, but before she could disappear into the night, Victor had one last question that irked him in the short time they had encountered each other:

"Why didn't you tell me your name previously?"

There was a moment of silence. Elektra paused, then stretched. She turned to face Victor with a sense of resolve.

"You can never trust somebody who's only out for blood."
