Seeing her twins sleeping beside her, she couldn't hold back her tears. Today, she had given birth to twin baby boys. A girl couldn't be happier, but only she knew the struggles she had endured to reach this day.

"Are you awake?" She heard someone say from the doorway. He smiled warmly at her, and she managed a small smile in return.

"I brought something for you to eat," he said.

"What is it?" she asked.

"It's good for the woman who gave birth," he replied, handing her a nourishing meal.

She tried to sit up, but he gently helped her.

"Thank you, Chang," she said softly, smiling gratefully.

"For what?" he asked.

"I don't know how I could have managed all of this without you," she confessed.

Flashback

Annie stood at the edge of the Han River, feeling out and hurt by people who had let her down. She was so tired of it all that she decided to end her life and jumped.

But just as she was about to jump, someone grabbed her arm and pulled her back.

"Let me go!" she struggled against their grip.

When she looked up, she saw Changmin.

"Changmin??" Her head was spinning; she hadn't eaten in days and was really stressed out.

"What are you doing? Why would you do this?" Changmin yelled, looking upset and worried.

He had been searching for her for hours on Jungkook's orders and thankfully found her in time.

"Please... just leave me..." she weakly said before passing out. Changmin caught her before she fell.

He hurried her to a nearby hospital.

"She's very weak, probably because she hasn't eaten in days, and it's crucial for her to eat regularly now," the doctors explained.

"In this condition? What do you mean?" Changmin asked, confused.

"She's pregnant. Didn't you know? Is she your girlfriend or wife?" the doctors asked.

"She's a friend," Changmin replied quietly.

Changmin felt shocked and conflicted. He didn't know if the baby belonged to Taehyung or Jungkook.

After a while, Annie started to wake up, her eyes slowly opening.

Annie attempted to sit up, but Changmin gently stopped her.

"Hey, wait. You need rest, especially for the baby," Changmin advised softly.

Annie looked at him with wide eyes. "B... baby?" She stammered, shocked.

Changmin realized she hadn't known about her pregnancy. He hadn't realized either.

"You didn't know?" he asked gently.

Tears welled up in Annie's eyes. She was carrying a baby from a man who never truly loved her, who had used her from the beginning.

"I need to leave," she said, standing up abruptly.

"Wait! Jungkook has been searching for you like crazy. He's even come back from Japan," Changmin said urgently.

"Why did he bother? To check if I'm alive or to hurt me more? To keep pretending?" Annie said angrily, tears streaming down her face.

Changmin clenched his jaw. He knew Jungkook was toxic and what he had done to Annie was unforgivable.
