(6) A Visit To The Bride - II

It's the next day, the day when the Raghuvanshi women and their sons would come to see Siya and Zara. The whole night Zara couldnt help but think if it was right for her to even the man , was she cheating on her love by not telling him about this?

Thousands of questions flooded her mind. She hoped that somehow this meet should not happen. But all her last hopes died when she heard the door bell ring.

She sighed as she ha dno other option but to present herself infront of the family.

She was upstairs in her rom along with Siya who looked really excited and was dressed up as if a doll.

She could hear her mom and dad tell the guests to take a seat as their conversation went on for the next 15 minutes.

Then she heard her mom's footsteps. And in no time her mom was in their room.

"Its so unbelievable that my daughters would now soon get married and go on to live their lives" mom said emotionally. I sighed as me and Siya both stood beside our mom as we held her hand in ours.

"Dont worry mom, even if we get married and go onto live our lives with other family, we still would be your daughters." I said.

She smiled as she kissed our foreheads. "Come on let's go now. The groom's mist be waiting" said Siya excitedly.

We both walked down as we kept our gazes to the floor. We then sat down in front of the family, opposite to the grooms.

As I raised my head to greet the family, my eyes widened on seeing, My love, my life, the man I had imagined my future with , Kabir, sitting infront of Siya while I sat infront of the man who was none other than, the boy because of whom me and Kabir met, Sahil.

I looked at Kabir with hurt in my eyes as he reciprocate the same. But our trance was broken when Siya decided to greet them first.

"Namaste, myself Siya, the younger daughter of the mittals" she said as she gazed at Kabir and blushed while looking down.

I sat there still trying to process this newly found info when my sister nudged me to greet them.

I joined my hands as I greeted them, "Namaste, this is Zara, The elder daughter of the mittals"

Both the women who I guessed was the mother of Kabir and Sahil looked at each other and smiled.

Just then one of them introduced themselves, "Hello my name is Sheetal Raghusvanshi and this is my son Kabi Raghuvanshi for your daughter , Siya." As I looked at Kabir in shock , trying to not make my emotions that obvious.

Our trance was broken when the same lady spoke again, "I dont think I have to give you an introduction of him. You already know the business tycoon in the city, right?" She asked while raising her eyebrows, trying to flaunt Kabir.

Just the the other lady spoke, "Hello, this is Alia Shekawat, Sheetal's sister and The other one, Sahil's mother. We have chosen your daughter Zara for him."

I immediately looked at Sahil as he smirked at me. His vibes already make me feel creepy. But what made me confuse was both the aunties looked at me while introducing their sons. Was it just an accident?

"Mr Mittal, I think we should let the children talk?" Said Kabir's mom. Dad nodded as he said to us
"Go beta , take them tot he backyard" we both nodded as we stood up I walked with sahil while Siya walked with Kabir. All this while I kept my head down. Trying not to make any eye contact with him.

Just then we heard a voice, "Stop" it was none other then Kabir's mom. We looked at her confused.

She walked towards us as she moved Siya besides Sahil and put me besides Kabir. I and Kabir looked at each other and then gazed back to his mom.

Just then, Sahil's mother came towards us, "What are you doing didi?" She asked her. "What, I was just pairing them correctly?" Replied Mrs.Sheetal in an obvious tone.

I looked at her in confusion as Mr Shekawat spoke, "But isnt Zara chosen for my Sahil?" She said anger evident in her tone.

"So zara is already standing with Sahil. And look here is Siya, standing beside my Kabir" said Mrs.Sheetal.

"No, the one standing beside Sahil is Siya, the one you chose for Kabir and the one standing beside kabir is Zara, the one I chose for Sahil" replied mrs Shekawat in an authorative tone.

"No, Alia-" Mrs.Sheetal was cut off by Sahil's mom. "Yes didi." She said.

Just then mom and dad Came forward asking them about the confusion.

"That day, when the match maker came she showed me a photo of your daughters, both of them together and I pointed at the one standing at the right that was Zara, and I thought that she is Siya, the one you sent the proposal for" explained Mrs.Sheetal.

I looked at my parents. I dont know if I should be happy that I will be getting married to my love or sad because of all this confusion.

"I dont know anything. I chose Zara for Sahil and she is going to marry him and only him" said Mrs
Shekawat.

"No Alia, I chose Zara for Kabir and she is going to marry my son only. Just because of the confusion, I am not going to give away my daughter-in-law to you" said Mrs.Sheetal in an angry tone.

I felt Kabir hold my hand and I looked at him. He gave me a nod and whispered "I am telling them" I widened my eyes in suprise as I slightly shook my head but he stepped ahead while holding my hand and said

"Mom there is something you should know". His mom looked at him with an already angry face.
She could not believe that she was getting insulted infront of the girls family all because of a mere confusion.

"What?" She asked angrily. Kabir pulled me gently , a step ahead, as he announced, "Me and Zara are already dating since the past 4 years" he said looking into his mother's eyes while I looked down.

I couldnt dare to look up at anyone but from the corner of my eyes I could see all of them shocked. I didnt have the confidence to look up. I only clutched Kabir's hand tighter. I was scared and my heart beating so loud that I bet Kabir heard it.

The look on his mom's face told me that she was not just shocked but also angry and sad.

She stepped forward as she asked him while gritting her teeth, "what did you say?" His mother didnt let him complete as she slapped him hard.

And here I knew, we were in danger.

Okay guys I need a suggestion. Some of my friends told me that I should change the male lead name from Kabir to Rudra. What are your thoughts on it? Should I change it to Rudra or something else? Please let me know. Thanks for reading!
