(3) Our Best Time

Authors POV

After the dreading encounter, finally, Kabir and Zara reached the penthouse. As th car stopped infront of the beautiful place, Kabir held Zara's face in his hands to find her scared.

"Dont worry Zara nothing has happened and nothing will happen." Said Kabir.

Zara just cried as Kabir hugged her gently,
"I was so scared, Kabir. I thought we-we would die. I thought I would lose you. It was so scary Kabir."

"Shh nothing will happen Zara. Now calm down and kets get inside the house okay?" assure Kabir. Zara nodded as both of them got down and walked towards the penthouse.

As Kabir opened the door, he was met with the only worker in the house, Abdul uncle. He has been taking care of the house for the past 5 years since the time Kabir got the house.

"Please come inside, Sir. I have made all the preparations for you and mam" said uncle.

"Abdul uncle this all was not needed. We would leave in sometime. Umm...Zara this is Abdul uncle , the care taker of the house. Uncle this is Zara" introduced Kabir.

"I should say Sir, you definetly got an angle form heaven" praised uncle as Zara blushed at the compliment.

"I have made some light food since it's too late. Please freshen up and then I will serve you" said abdul uncle .

"No uncle it's fine. We would serve ourselves. You can go and rest. Sorry for disturbing you at this hour." Said Kabir as uncle smiled and left the couple alone.

"Welcome Zara, thi is my penthouse. I often come here when I want some peace or some time alone." said Kabir .

"It looks beautiful Kabir" replied Zara. Kabir smiled and said ," now let's freshen up and then I'll serve food. I also have to drop you back to your home, remember?"

Zara nodded as Kabir showed her the way to the restroom , while he arranged for their dinner.

As Zara came down she spotted Kabir, arranging the food properly.
She smiled and said , "wow , so you know all of these work? Impressive." Said Zara teasingly.

Kabir smiled along while replying,
"Ofcourse I should know this because I have no intentions of making my wife do the house chores"

His statement caused Zara to go all red while Kabir just chuckled looking at her state.

Zara the  settled herself on the dining as Kabir served their plates.
They both enjoyed their meals with laughter and smiles. One of the best meals of their life.

Back at Zara's Home

Siya, Zara's sister woke up in the middle of the night to get some water from the kitchen.

As she was walking back to her room, she spotted her sister, Zara's bedroom light was still on. She decided to check on her.

As she entered her bedroom, she saw that Zara was not on the bed. Thinking she was in the bathroom she knocked the door but found it to be open.

Panicking Siya ran towards her parents room, knocking on their door. "Mom, dad please wake up"
She banged the door.

"What happened Siya? Is everything fine dear?" Inquired her mom as soon as she opened the door. "Mom-Dad, Zara is not in her room. I also checked the washroom but she is not even there." Replied Siya.

Here, Zara returned back to her home as Kabir dropped her. She bid goodbye to him as she watched his car disappear. It had been long since she spent so much time with him. She was happy.
