CHAPTER THIRTY TWO: THE RETURN OF AN EVIL
'CASSANO'
The headquarters of Crimson was a fortress of steel and glass nestled in the heart of the city’s underworld. The building, a stark contrast to the derelict surroundings, was sleek and modern, a symbol of the gang’s rise to power. Inside, the space was a mix of high-tech surveillance rooms and opulent, though stark, offices that spoke of their wealth and ambition. The air was filled with the hum of machinery and the distant murmur of conversations, a stark reminder of the gang’s presence in the city’s criminal hierarchy.
In the dimly lit war room, the walls were adorned with maps, photographs, and red lines linking key figures in the city’s criminal underbelly. A long, polished conference table dominated the room, and a single, flickering lightbulb overhead cast shifting shadows across the walls.
Cassano stood at the head of the table, his presence commanding and intense. The dark, weathered coat he wore, along with the scarred features of his face, hinted at his past life as the feared leader of the Camorra. His eyes, cold and calculating, surveyed the room with a sense of purpose. For years, the world had believed him dead, his legend a dark whisper in the streets. But here he was, alive and ready to reclaim his throne
Saphora, leaned against the table, frustration evident in his post
"Why are we wasting time on this, Cassano?" Saphora’s voice was sharp, tinged with desperation. "We need to find Mario. He could be the key to everything. We can’t just ignore the fact that he’s missing."
Cassano a.k.a Venom’s eyes were icy as he looked up from the table. "We don’t need Mario. We need to focus on our enemies, on Lee Heeseung and the ENHYPEN crew. They are a real threat to us, not some ghost from our past."
Saphora’s eyes flashed with indignation. "You’re wrong! Mario was more than just a ghost. He was our brother, and he might still be alive. You’re so consumed by your hatred for him that you’re blinded to what he could offer us."
Venom’s jaw tightened as he took a step closer. "Hatred? You think this is about hatred? I’m not some child nursing old wounds. I know that Mario was Father’s favorite, but that doesn’t mean we should chase after him. He was weak, and now he’s gone. Our focus should be on our enemies, not on some lost cause."
Saphora’s fists clenched. "You’re the one who can’t see past your own grudges! Mario’s disappearance might hold clues to something bigger. We could find him, and he might help us take down ENHYPEN. But you’re too stubborn to even consider it."
Venom’s eyes hardened. "You think Mario is the answer to our problems? If we find him, what then? We’d have to trust him, and that’s a risk I’m not willing to take. Our strength lies in the present, not in chasing after the past."
Saphora took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "I’m not saying we should rely on Mario alone. But we can’t just pretend he doesn’t matter. We should at least try to find him. If we don’t, we might miss out on a chance to strengthen our position."
Venom’s gaze was unyielding. "We have bigger fish to fry right now. We’re working with Eric from Crimson, and we need to make the most of that alliance. We can’t let ourselves be sidetracked by a search for someone who might be long gone."
Saphora’s frustration was evident as he stepped back. "Fine. If you won’t pursue Mario, then I will. But I hope you’re ready to face the consequences of ignoring him, because if he’s out there, we might regret not looking for him."
Venom’s eyes followed Saphora’s retreating figure, the weight of the argument settling on his shoulders. "Do what you have to do, Saphora. But remember, our survival depends on our immediate plans. ENHYPEN isn’t waiting for us to get our act together."
As Saphora turned and walked towards the door, Eric from Crimson stepped into the room, his eyes scanning the tension between the two brothers. His presence was a reminder of the fragile alliances they navigated.
Eric, crimson's leadeŕ was the one who saved venom and saphora that day when they were about to die in the lee mansion which was covered in fire
"I see you two have been busy," Eric said, his tone neutral but curious. "Are we ready to move forward with our plans against ENHYPEN?"
Venom’s gaze was steady as he met Eric’s eyes. "We’re working on it. But we have our own internal issues to resolve as well."
Eric nodded slowly. "Good. Because time is not on our side. If we want to strike effectively, we need to be united and focused."
As Eric took a seat at the table, the conversation shifted to tactical discussions and strategies. The argument between the brothers faded into the background as they began to plan their next moves against Lee Heeseung and ENHYPEN.
"i am not gonna let lee heeseung win again, this time i will tll him who venom really is" venom muttered in a low, dangerous voice as his eyes darkened, filling with hatred for the mafia king
But as the night wore on, the unresolved issue of Mario’s fate lingered in the shadows, a silent testament to the complexities and secrets that lay beneath their quest for power.
