We continued walking hand in hand, and it felt so good to stroll down the street with her like a couple. I didn't know exactly where we stood, but I really wanted her to be my girlfriend. All the doubts I had at the beginning were silenced when I got a taste of what it was like to be with the Geordie. It was as if all my fears were insignificant compared to being with her, belonging to her.

I didn't know how long we walked before we reached our destination. Cheryl was animatedly talking about her day with her family, her eyes sparkling with affection. The Geordie was very close to them, and her joy was contagious. As we approached a high school building, I looked at her, completely lost and confused.

"What is this? Aren't we supposed to be heading somewhere else?"

Cheryl bit her lower lip, trying to stifle her laughter. My reaction to the place was clearly amusing her.

"No, we're in the right place," she said, guiding me toward the door.

"Isn't this the school you went to?" I asked, remembering Cheryl mentioning it before.

"Yep, that's the one." She said with a smile as she fished a key out of her pocket.

"Are we breaking into your school?" I asked, feeling a bit panicked.

"It's not really breaking in if you have the key," The Geordie replied with a wink.

"And to do what?" I asked confused.

I should have anticipated that with Cheryl in charge, our first date would be anything but conventional. I should have been the one to ask her out and choose the location.

"So many questions..." Cheryl said with an enigmatic smile. "I'll tell you this, I thought it would be fun to do something a bit different and unexpected. Plus, a friend of mine works here now and gave us the key."

"You're serious?" I asked, still trying to grasp the idea. The notion of breaking into a high school, however well-intentioned, seemed a bit absurd. I couldn't help but think that whoever gave Cheryl the key should be fired.

"Completely," she replied, her playful tone making it clear she was enjoying my bemusement.

"I feel so high school every time I look at you." Cheryl began to hum, her eyes twinkling with mischief as she unlocked the door.

Even though I wasn't entirely sure about her plan, I couldn't help but find her incredibly cute. I wasn't sure if she realised just how captivating she was, but to me, it was impossible to ignore.

"Come on," she said with a grin, gently tugging me into the space beyond the door.

"So, what's the plan? Are you going to show me around your old school?" I asked, trying to sound enthusiastic. Cheryl had put in the effort to bring me here, and I wanted her to know I genuinely appreciated it.

Cheryl looked at me with mock indignation. "How lame do you think I am?"

"Well, I'm just trying to figure out what comes next." I said with a shrug.

"So impatient, this woman of mine." Cheryl said with a teasing smile as she gently squeezed my chin and pecked my lips.

When she called me hers, it felt like music to my ears and made my heart flutter.

Cheryl's eyes sparkled with excitement as she led me down the dimly lit hallway. "To satisfy your curiosity," she said, her grin widening, "I thought we could have our own private prom."

"Prom?" I echoed.

She nodded, stopping in front of the gymnasium doors. "They had a dance here last night, and my friend said they haven't taken down the decorations yet." She pulled out another key and worked it into the lock, her brow furrowing with concentration.
