(A/N: Basically most of the Blue Lock cast attend the same school in this alternate AU because I'm too lazy to rewrite the plot of Blue Lock in the actual one.)

"Coming innnn~!"

You sang as you barged into Nagi's room, loaded with gifts and a cheeky smile.

"Welcome." The white-haired spoke in his dull tone- per usual, not bothering to glance up from his phone.

Your smile dimmed, but you refused to let his response dampen your spirits. Today was a special day, afterall.

You skipped over to the side of the bed where Nagi laid, before scattering the pile of presents on top of it.

"Happy five month anniversary, Sei!" You grinned as you pulled your boyfriend into a tight hug.

Almost immediately, his body went stiff in your embrace. Your eyebrow arched upwards in confusion.

He finally detached his gaze from his game to stare up at your eyes- and one look into his grey orbs and you knew....

He'd forgotten your anniversary.

"I'm sorry, Y/N, I really-"

"It's fine." You quietly cut him off, releasing him. "I understand, don't worry. It's just a five month anniversary anyway. I'm fine."

But you knew you weren't.

You spent countless weeks preparing for this exact day, saving up your money and working a part-time job just so you could surprise him with something he would like. Just yesterday, you begged your siblings to assist you in wrapping the gifts....and you'd been up at it all night.

You would never tell Nagi that though. But even if you didn't, it was clear he already knew.

The second you drew back, he pulled you back in, burying his face into the crook of your neck.

"I'm sorry." He repeated again. "I really am."

He withdrew from your neck a bit, and your gazes locked.

The rare sight of emotion in his flat orbs told you all you needed to know- and the pain in your heart subsided.

"I told you it's fine." Your smile returned. You laughed a bit while running a hand through his messy hair.

"It won't happen again." His voice took a slightly serious turn. "I promise."

When he dragged you closer to his body, and the two of you just silently enjoyed each other's company...... for a moment,

You couldn't help but believe him....

And that, turned out to be a great mistake. Your five month anniversary became six- your sixth became seven- your seventh became eighth- until you'd been officially together for eleven months. But he never remembered a single one.

On the Monday of your official one year anniversary, you walked through the school gates, a large box of chocolates in your hands.

"Morning, Y/N!" Reo was the first to greet you.
