You were a hollow shell of who you used to be.

It was like you'd converted into a zombie; sluggishly trudging the hallways with half-lidded y/ec eyes.

The thought of Nagi had kept you up all night. You didn't regret your decision- not at all- but the colossal ache in your heart still remained.

"Oi, brat."

With the little strength you possessed, you raised your head from your table to turn and stare at Rin.

"We're having a test." The green-haired drawled, cocking his head at the History paper left at your desk.

"Oh. Oh."

Your mind spiraled into chaos and you sat up straight immediately.

'There's no way....'

During the weekend, you'd spent so much time rehearsing what you were going to tell Nagi that you completely forgot about everything else- including the said test.

'Oh my days.'  You facepalmed, a rush of panic rolling through your body. 'I fucked up...'

For as long as you remembered, you'd been a star student, scoring nothing less than As in every single assessment and classwork given.

You would personally kill yourself if you tainted that record.

'Ugh.'  You buried your face in your hands. 'What am I going to do now?'

Fifteen minutes passed without you writing a single thing. You and the test simply stared at each other.

Until...

"What are you doing?" A voice perked up at your right.

You swiveled over to an indifferent but slightly creeped out Rin.

"Shhh!" You glared at the dark-green haired male. "You're interrupting my focus. If I squint hard enough, I might just figure out the answer."

In your head, it honestly sounded pretty smart- but Rin's face told a whole different story.

You didn't necessarily care what the Itoshi thought anyway, so you switched your attention back to your blank test paper.

One minute passed.

Then five.

Then fifteen.

Then twenty.

"Everyone submit in five minutes." Your teacher ordered.

And that was when you actually started to lose it. You broke into a nervous sweat, knowing you still hadn't recalled anything in the past 40 minutes.

'I'm so screwe-'

A piece of paper landed on your desk.

You ceased panicking for a moment to inspect the paper. Carefully, you unraveled it and stared at the writing inside.
